It is with great sadness I announce the passing of this great soul guitarist, Rev Muddy, aka Dennis Dullea. Playing for the ancestors and his wife once more, RIP my friend.

What guitar tone is this? Very good sound! What is your gear? What amp do you use? Do you use pedals (effects)?

Hi Dennis, Speaking as a rank Australian amateur, how in the name of hell do you obtain that squeal noise when bending at 3.57? PS, love you professional presentations. There’s no one like you on KZbin, Cheers from Aussieland

Hey old guy , still can’t pay a lick 👅 you’d think after 50 yrs you’d get it right !! 😂 your still the best blues guy ever . Nobody’s even close !! Keep practicing, sooner or later you ll get it . Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray … who are they , still think your better

Show me someone better . Ft Worth Royalty , he doesn’t make any kindamistakes .

Know , Dennis . He use to play the Cellar in the 70’s . Very unassuming! Super good guy . If you take time to actually listen to him play , I suggest there’s none better . He’s smooth like Vince Gill , truthfully, I d put him up against anybody and I m dead serious!!! Now , he’s capable of playing anything, country is not his deal but he can play the shit out of it . He’s by Guitar center off Hulen in Ft Worth . One hell of a teacher . We both have very bad hearts but that doesn’t interfere with his playing . His health kinda limits him now that he’s 71 ! Listen to his tone snd that comes from s Fender Squire , $175 . Close your eyes , listen to Clapton then Dennis , I think he’s better !!! You judge .

Nice take Rev. Easy to see how much you love the song and the man who made it. Came here from your comment on a Clapton vid, not disappointed. Hope you're holding up as well as possible.

I came across the videos of Reverend Muddy at least 8 years ago. I though it was more like 10. Since then I’ve been a slave to KZbin finding lessons and courses from all kinds of great guitarists. But I just came back to these lessons and I realize that if a person could emulate Muddy’s vibrato and some of these licks, they could be the boss of the blues. These licks are gold!

It's only by the Grace of God that I am able to play Guitar at all. I stayed drunk for 25 years, and as of now 6-1-21 I have been completely clean and sober for over 32 years. Without the Master I am nothing. The Master doeth the works. Dennis Dullea

Dennis, not sure if you remember the name Jerry Martin, but this is his son. Taylor. Been watching this video since college and still laugh my ass off. Been playing on the old 335 Custom you gave to pops back in the day. Has your name engraved inside sound holes on the body. Hope you're well!
