Hello. I am considering purchasing the tab. Is it done in the original alternate tuning, or in standard tuning? I wouldn't want to follow your video lesson in standard tuning but then tab in alternate tuning. Thank you.

This is such a great lesson. I'm about halfway through pt 2 now and love it. The pace you go through these at is great, really easy to follow along and keep up! Thank you brotha!!

Pretty good lesson. The hardest part is capturing the Incredible John Martyn's snap and tapping technique ! I say that as a big J. M. fan. You're a great fingerstyle guitarist.

6:55 oh my god dude "play the top string with the fifth string" why are you saying top string if you're then gonna say the fifth string??? be consistent with the names or otherwise it's gonna be really fking hard to follow just say "play the first string with the sixth string"

Nice, good tutorial, I went thru it, but wish it was a full fingerstyle arrangement, with melody. Any plans for that?

Ok so alot of them are dominant chords with extentions. Thats where im at with it. I really want to learn this its such a good little tune. Chet was the man!

Beautiful song and a great tutorial. It could've been improved slightly by including chord diagrams on screen for the less confident guitarists. Just a thought. 👍 Looking forward to watching your other tutorials.

I'm about to buy your course, love your lessons and I wanted to ask my teacher! For a second guitar that sounds good (especially country), what do you think about the Guild D-140 Westerly - For fingerpicking? And would you recommend a cutaway?
@SixStringFingerpicking7 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for your interest in my course. I can’t say that I’ve played that guitar, all I’d suggest is to go and play it yourself, if you like it then it’s the guitar for you. Again a cutaway is a personal choice so go try some and see what you like, it’s the best way. Cheers

Hey great tutorial. It's nice to hear that John Martyn's songs have lost none of their freshness even years after his death. I myself recorded "may you never" on Utube 14 years ago and the song has lost none of its topicality.

Hey Chris! Great tutorial. Any chance you could eventually do a lesson on “Leave the Light On” by Chris Smither? It’s a tune that I think would be a great fit for you. Thanks again!
