last two seasons we didn't get Nuggets vs Celtics, in 22-23 because Celtics lost vs heat and in 24 because Nuggets lost vs wolves really need it for next seasons finals

I’m just glad the warriors freed 70mill by letting chris paul and klay go, maybe they could spend some of this money on a real center and a 2 point threat (sabonis and mitchell would be the dream)

Yeah Lebron ducked a majority of the great GM and coaches in his career (As you said only in Miami he actually had a great organization/coach behind him). While MJ hated Krause, but that guy was an incredible GM that built those rosters around him. If MJ had the power like Lebron did who really knows how it ends up.

For extra context, Coach Joe Mazzula actually likes the step back/side-step threes that Tatum takes even though it's a notoriously difficult and low-efficiency shot (which ironically he used to be better at), because it's a low-risk play in terms of transition opportunities by the opponent - he talked about this shot in one of the post games

Luka in the title, seems like more thorin malding about the mavs. Is this true? I can save an hour of my life if so

My favorite part was when they talked about Caitlin Clark at the end lol

The big adjustment of the Celtics that took a major strength of the Mavs offense away was being able to put Tatum on the Mavs bigs. This really limited the Mavs lob threat and meant when Luka went to hunt Horford in the pick and roll PJ Washington or Derrick Jones had to be the screener and they aren’t the same roll threat as Lively or Gafford which means Washington and Jones would pop to the 3 point line but not the corner 3 where they are great shooters but above the break 3s where they aren’t great shooters. Obviously helps the Celtics have the personnel to execute this game plan but very shrewd from the staff and well executed by the players

Thorin's LeBron arguments are on some straight hater shit lol, I'm rebutting all his points in my head as he's speaking 😂 way too long of a list to explain but if you have 5 guys over LeBron, you don't understand the intricacies of basketball

Luka is the white James Harden. Also, I disagree that ANT-man lacked killer instinct. His performance dropped because he had to be his teams number 1 scoring option while also guarding Kyrie. Thats just not sustainable in the NBA, even for a young uber athlete like Edwards. Running to get open off screens and cutting to the basket also takes lots of energy. KAT and Mike Conley weren't reliable options if/when Ant struggled.

Kyrie shit his pants in Boston, Luka needs to lose weight, and the Mavs roleplayers were nowhere near the Celtics roleplayers. That meltdown foulout in Game 3 was pathetic by Luka, guy can be the best in the world if he cuts the bullshit (and 15 lbs)

As a mavs fan i gotta agree with all you guys said, defense was good for 1 game, which we won, rest was awful. Kyrie had 1 good game but he was much more aggressive and driving the rest of the playoffs. Celts defense took away the lob, and that took away like 20 points a game. Not enough off ball movement against a great defense. Credit where credit is due celts are god tier but we can defo do better when luka is consistent on defense

Uh, what could it possibly be that the NBA finals started week later... Hmm... Maybe the fact that one conference final ended with a sweep and the second one with the gentleman sweep? Nah, that couldn't be it!
@KyleAPemberton4 ай бұрын
Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing in that section. Like guys do you know they have to book these arenas in advance. So they book them in such a way that if there's a 7 game series in the previous round it won't force them to reschedule finals games.

Luka’s style of play does not coincide to winning per history and even this season where he became a better passer, when push came to shove in the final he went full ISO. Unless they get him a dominant big or he learns to play more like lebron, he is not going to win.

The problem is that the boston team was to go team. They had 5 player in the top 7 in the serie. Boston first 6 player can all shoot the 3p. So boston counter mavricks typ off def. But Mavricks have somting good to build on now. And i think that boston onlye have one more year with this starting 5 before i get to expensive. Boston build a relly strong team with good GM this year.

Mavs not a good team? The best defensive rating over the last 2 months of the season. They are playing an ultra high level defense. Luka and Kyre are also playing like the best defense of their time. I did not mention offense, because that's a given. So I really don't know what you are talking about.
