If I were to vote on DPOY, my top 3 would be 1. Gobert, 2. Wemby, 3. Bam. I rate Bam higher than AD because Bam always takes on the challenge of guarding the opposing superstar centre, like Jokic, Embiid, etc, while AD actively avoids those matchups and plays help defense. Every time he takes them head-on, he doesn't affect them anywhere close to what he does every other game. Also, since these guys weren't discussed on the show, shoutout to Porzingus, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White for Boston, and KCP, Aaron Gordon, and Peyton Watson for Denver. Boston has the best defense in the NBA, and they don't have a true DPOY candidate, but their entire starting lineup, and these guys in particular, play fantastic defense. And Denver has the No.1 clutch defense, a big part of which is KCP locking down the superstars like Curry, SGA, Tatum, Fox, Anthony Edwards, etc, and Gordon taking on the rim protector role, which Jokic can't do. Also, a shoutout to Herb Jones and Alex Caruso.

Ughh there's no way "LeBron fans say AD is a bum". lol He's terrible against people like Jokic and Sabonis, and offensively sometimes he just goes missing. But when he's on he's an insane defender and can drop 40 points easily if he's on attacking mode. They might think he's a sidekick because when push comes to shove, it's LeBron doing the hard carrying. Look at how many 4th quarter takeovers LeBron's had this season. But tbh I do like the AD Wemby comparison in the sense that they cover a lot of ground protecting the rim, except AD is heavier and Wemby's shot is incosistent to bad (he can spam dunks and layups, though).
