Personally, I feel that there's several thick-cut onions, thick-cut tomatoes, big handfuls of lettuce, and several pickles and the main ingredient that should be thick is the burger. All those veggies just seem to over-power the taste of the burger itself. If it was me, I would either thin-cut the veggies or make the burgers thicker.

He has got it wrong. The Burger always goes on the bottom. Why have Cool, Crisp vegetables, If you are just going to put the meat on top, and Steam cook them with the meat patty, And make the veggies soggy, and nasty.... Yuk.

His comment about never squeezing the burgers and the reasoning why automatically makes this a place where they know how to make good burgers. All those places that cook like smashed burgers cooks have inferior burgers. I live on the opposite coast, but if I ever find myself in San Diego, Libifornia, I'll have to check this place out.

Went there yesterday, go here if you want a burger boiled in grease. Absolutly no sear on my burger, no color, no flavor. Completly grey and barely warm.

I happened to be surfing in SD back in 05-06 and just walked into Hodads by chance. Still to this day is the best burger joint on the planet. And I live in New Zealand, traveled the world for almost 20 years. Hands down the best!
