Being a “FOCAL” user myself, I can vouch that their speakers are second to none for SQ… But that being said, FOCAL has never “given” or cut prices to that point for that reason. Lol May check the authenticity 😂 there’s hella clones out there

Your gunna wannna pair that with way more than 2k to bring the pain. That sub will handle something close to 14,000 watts in burst as long as your electrical is up to par.

I had JLs 12W0V3-4's and SD's but nothing real new from either. I have AB XFL 12s now. The best sounding subs I've ever had were my 12W0V3-4's. I'm sure the W7's are better than their W0 subs. The bass just sounded cleaner with the JL's to me. At $1450+ tax per 12" for W7's, I don't think I'll be dropping that much on a system this lifetime. I'm more of a budget build kinda person but I definitely vote for the JL. I wonder if anything has changed since JL is now owned by Garmin.

What in theory be louder and hit lower? I know the answer but I want to double check. I've always wanted to try a w7. 4 8w7ae-3's or 2 13w7ae-3's loudest and the combo that would have the most authority down low.

I wouldn’t take neither of them😂 for sound quality. They are designed differently for different applications. W7 is good all around SQL but many prefer w6 for sq. I don’t really like the jl audio sub sound, it’s not bad just not sharp sounding probably due to its cone material which is cheap but jl charges a fortune to consumers for cheap foam surround and cheap poly cone 😂

I would take the JL 12w7 all day iv never heard another sub that sounds as good. I had 2 10w7's in a s10 extra cab pickup and sadly when I sold truck the kid seen the subs made me a offer and I dumbly sold them.

As an owner of w7, zv5 and Xv2 and a few other brands The w7 and X are more comparable Thay ZV will destroy that w7 in the proper box But that w7 is a great woofer no arguments.
