01:00 That is an absolutely fantastic electric piano by itself and for layering with a little chorus effect

Hey there, thanks for sharing this! I have a beat up old JX-3p that appears to work fine, but there is something off when I try to program my own sounds... If I recreate these patches you provided exactly, mine sounds nothing even remotely similar (and I have quadruple checked that I have the right settings). The thing that confuses me is that the factory patches sound correct compared to other examples I've heard. This isn't just an issue with your patches btw, its with all things I try to program. Anywho, I'm not even sure where to begin looking to troubleshoot this. I know this is a super old video and my explanation of my problem sucks, but does this sound like an issue you have heard of before? No worries if not, and thank you so much for sharing your stuff with us, they are very cool patches!

And people say the K1 can play only cheesy '80's sounds. (Whatever those are...) I first heard this 11 years ago, again 9 years ago (and commented that time) and just now, and it still speaks to me as a great-sounding and well-composed piece. ..Joe

bought one for 500 finnish marks late 90´s and used as a mmidi keyboard for roland sound canvas GM module. Maby twice or so I tried the synth it self and thought it was rubbish and nonusable. Time to go and dig it out from cellar

The JX3P sounds a bit more fat. I Still have it with the organix upgrade I made back in 2010, and the pg200 programmer. But i would have both of them!!

Juno 6 is much warmer and the chorus is much better than the JX3P... both are fantastic synths, but give me the Juno 6 or the JX8P. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqLEo5J5htWFqJI

I had the K1m, Korg DS-8, Alesis HR16B and MMT-8. I was in college for music making 2 songs a day to my cassette deck. The best patch on that K1 was called "Skyvoices."

The JX3p was my first ever synth when it came out! Sold it many years ago like many of us did back then when we wanted to upgrade... at the time I needed to be able to have piano samples for a touring band I was in. But I just found one locally again for $400...I'm inspired to spend some time with this beauty.

I just saw a JX-3P advertised with a PG200. They are both mint and are about $600 USD for the both of them. Only problem is they are over 1000kms away from me!

Sounds damn close but the original has a touch more body & real-world charm. Well done TAL. I bought this and will be happy to use it. Some sounds on this can't be found anywhere else, the Juno 60 now TAL UNO

why do I think it sounds better than newer versions of the virus?

because its the one you own (if you have one). i have one, and its a wonderful machine. the argument that the vsts are just as good (and/or better) are legit, if you like making music with computers. i don't like doing that, so the virus b is wonderful for me.

Äh. Was nützt das?? Damit erzeug ich ja nur einen einzigen Loop. Wie mach ich Songabläufe? Also erstmal Pattern 1 4x, danach Pattern 2 8x, danach... und so weiter. So kann ich doch keine Songabläufe aufnehmen...
