Lembro bem . Tomavamos um pau desse time da Holanda em 1990. Na olimpiada de 1992 ganhamos 2 vezes por 3 a 0. Grande evolução da seleção brasileira.

Parabéns pela postagem! Que raridade. Nessa época, pré medalha de ouro, as potências do vôlei eram Itália, Holanda e Cuba, EUA e União Soviética estavam entrando em decadência. O Brasil era aspirante a se tornar uma grande força com um elenco jovem e irregular, porém talentoso, méritos do Zé Roberto que conseguiu extrair o melhor desse time.

Avital Selinger was a fantástic setter, but he was 1,75cm tall. In the final of Barcelona '92, Holland played with Selinger, instead of Peter Blangé (2,01 cm). In my opinión, Holland loosed the final with Brazil because they took benefit of 4 position Attacks, with a 1,75cm blocker like Selinger

I have recorded on a VHS tape the 4th and the 5th set of this match. The 5th set is simply espectacular, specially Luchetta and Cantagalli. Cantagallli made an amazing block to the powerful and turnable wrist of Gratton, making a fast changing from right to left of his arms. In Spain this match could be seen on the TV because PALMA volleyball club participated in the final four, finishing in 3th position after winning CSKA SOFIA, with the giant GANEV (2.10m). Thanks for the video.

Manuel López Well, it turns out the entire game was posted one year ago (in four parts and better quality) at: Finale EURO volley Fréjus Modène 1990 part.4 Fréjus was definitely exhausted in the 5th, after a great battle. I do remember both CSKA Sofia and Palma were beaten easily in the semi finals. Do you remember any players from Palma that year?
