After demo'ing this plugin for about an hour, I decided it was a no-brainer purchase for mastering purposes. It allows me to get much more detailed than Soothe 2 when correcting issues (which has always been my main issue with Soothe). That being said, I wish SpecCraft had the following features: (1) the ability to do mid-side processing (which I find critical for mastering), (2) some numerical indication of the amount of gain reduction being applied (even if its just a numbered y-axis), and (3) a gain reduction limiter (which might be achieved using the threshold but not sure yet). It would have been nice if it also had a better name (SpecCraft just doesn't do it justice) but thats just my opinion. Overall its a great tool that will help speed up my workflow. Looking forward to future updates.

Hey guys, congrats your astounding new plugin. I think it's a bit of a masterpiece! I did a quick review of it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5zag32Be7ynf9k. Especially loved the variable threshold. I think you could take the crown away from Oeksound (you must have been alarmed by Waves releasing Curves Equator just days before you, eh?)😪 No matter, I think you'll get a good following based off the quality of this plugin. Any plans to include auto-gain-compensation in this? I found myself constantly adjusting output as I lowered threshold. Incredible plugin!

Your suggestion is excellent! However, calculating AutoGain for a frequency-domain processor isn't very easy. We are still looking for the right algorithm.

Do I need an EQ after the process or can I add a compressor directly afterwards? Is the voice recording played in the video a raw recording? Thanks for the feedback!

SpecCraft is primarily used for handling resonance issues, so you'll still need EQ, compression, and other effects to complete the entire mix. The vocals in the demo audio are from the singer's own home recording material. Since it was a remote recording, we're not sure if the singer applied any processing, such as hardware channel strip effects, during recording. However, it definitely hasn't been mixed.
