I grew up with jason webley playing in the background, my mom loved playing him, i have dance while the sky crashes down memorized, not to mention his drinking songs and his cover of hey ya, he has always played his accordion like a guitar and i live for it

Hi Oliver, I know this video is a few years old but I wanted to say thanks so much for making it and being so clear and helpful for a complete beginner. I just did my very first drag king outfit as a vampire for Halloween, and it went so well thanks to this video. I got so many compliments especially on the beard. Also your tip about the hair line worked perfectly for a vampire!

As a guy with an history degree, we’re all the same bro. We all need ALL of the degrees. We all need ALL of the stories of the world that we can work with. We’re ancient gossip whores. That’s what it is.

Oh my god classical and dapper drag kings are real. in this modern age. I was just rambling on another (also a few years old) video about how it wasn't something I had seen and was part of why I hesitated. Honestly I was getting closer to just doing it regardless. Especially sense there isn't like... rules on what you can be. It's quite the opposite actually haha. But it's nice to see someone who has done it. Mainly what has taken me so long aside from hesitation, is that I keep accidentally putting it on the back burner, as I attempt to just exist in life and get my mental health together. And uh, not knowing how to even look into it, but that's more of a skill issue because I've barely tried doing so. Also, turns out paying more attention to what you want out of life and how you want to present, is good for one's mental health. Incredible. Update: Wanting a degree in everything is so real. I am also very good at not committing to even one of them though because of this. Also ayyy history. I am sensing a pattern that people who like history also just like a lot of things and/or want to do a lot of things. I guess makes sense history is uh, everything that has existed haha.

One of my first jobs was a living museum as well, in the 1800's. I was so jealous of the men in their suits while I wore dresses that did not flatter me. But I remember loving learning about flower language and a girl from another house and I would bring each other bouquets to decode.

I'm genderfluid, I have always admired drag and lately I've been feeling drawn to getting into drag. I'm 17 and live in a rural town and my mom is transphobic and doesn't like drag, I practice with makeup when I'm home alone and I get so happy with I give myself a mustache. I don't have a lot of makeup but I have enough because I'm a photographer so I try to look as professional as I can. Thank you for this tutorial, I'm turning 18 next month so hopefully I'll be able to get enough confidence to put myself in the drag community a bit

This is wonderful! I am new to drag king make up. I have watched a few videos, and from an artistic perspective, I am wondering why the focus on browns for contouring? Since the first thing I see for drag queen make up is red on the jaw to block blue 5 o clock shadow, wouldn't adding more blue be more "masculine?" Or is brown purely an artistic choice? Thank you!

Awesome❤ LOVE your vibe and your style! I’m a closet drag king in that it’s always been a fantasy of mine for many years, yet I’ve only been gifted with doing a male performance character once in my life! It’s tough… bc I’m 64, gender fluid and married to a very straight man!! I wanna do this so badly! I guess I can maybe make videos like you said? Any tips on WHERE TF to start this awesome journey? I know it’s not too late for me, bc I am comedic as well, and I can dance, and I’m sure I can lip sync.. lol… any “older” kings out there?? 🥲🫶🏼🌈
