I spent the whole video like this: 👁👄👁 I just can’t believe people do these things. Like grabbing the performers, walking in front of them while they’re performing, walking into the dress room uninvited, or making critiques of the performance - so rude and so weird. I’m getting secondhand embarrassment for those people.

My friends and I went to our first drag show and we had soooo much fun!!! Thank you for being an entertainer!

Thank you so much for this, I love how eloquently you speak about everything! I dabble in drag off and on at my local club (At least I did until Covid hit) but I have felt a lot of pressure to do drag a certain way. I identify as he/him outside of drag, but don't really think my drag persona is necessarily "fem" or "feminine" all the time. I prefer to go by them, so that way I don't feel pressured to be a certain thing. And you're so right, Drag Race has helped in a lot of ways but a lot of people think they know everything about Drag now because they've seen the show lol. And alt drag is so much more fun and interesting in my opinion than what is typically seen on Drag Race. So yeah, great video! Sorry for the rant lol

Please do a video about drag race lol it’s an interesting topic! Especially now, where the judges are enjoying masculine drag from drag queens but have yet to even consider allowing drag kings on the show. Wanna know what you think about that

Thank 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 this 👏🏻 video. I had people walk right up and "critique" me at Drag Con, and... 🙄😒 yeah. It's tiresome, tedious, and sad.

Those stages look so small in the clips you showed. Makes me nervous because how can you perform in such a small space.

As a former stripper, wow there are a ton of similarities as far as etiquettes go 😂!! A real questions tho, is throwing money (making it rain) acceptable? Or does it throw off the performers?
@OliverBranch3 жыл бұрын
As long as it's not a projectile hit in the face, throwing money is usually fine in my experience haha

i’m planning on going to my first drag show soon and honestly i’ve been so stressed about tipping correctly lolll, if you’re sitting far back and there’s no opportunity to hand the money to the performer, how do you tip them?
@OliverBranch2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the show. If you're far back and can't reach the performer to hand them a dollar, you could crush the bill into a little ball or roll it into a little straw and throw it onstage. Some shows will also have the performers venmo or cashapp somewhere on the stage around them whether it's being projected on a screen or on the posters by tables.

At my local bar they have some of the staff walking around with buckets for people to tip if they can't reach the performer!
