For something basic, it's a stonehenge of the north; I cannot imagine the bigger one down south being treated a bit like thes you showed in the very well put-together video here. I still not getting the publicity they should be getting? Just imagine the stone at Stonehenge is ready in the wrong place; it's just moving a mile or so down the road to make way for a wider road or something?

Thank you very much. Yes, they’ve had a rough life. Imagine smashing up an ancient burial to get sand for building. The 18th and 19th centuries were terrible like that. It’s a shame they’re not in their original place, but at least they’ve survived and we have access for free. Unlike the very expensive Stonehenge!

Hi Darren. If you get chance have a look at the Roman Mile Stone at Garstang, which my dear Friend David Ratledge details in his on line Gazette . It too stands tall and proud, not sure if it has been scheduled yet. Keep up the Great Work. Kind Regards Ian Milnes.

if you grow up nestled in a valley then at some point you are going to want to explore either upstream or downstream. I imagine at times people might have had that down as a coming of age thing so that is a kind of ritual.

Just seeing this! Getting "caught up" all the delightful editions of videos from WC21 (UK) Productions Ltd. Marvelous. "GUTTERSNIPES"....the word had me giggling, but it is so appropriate. Really, people, have some sense!
