Legendary fell walker, Alfred Wainwright, passed through the Yorkshire Dales in the late 1960s, publishing a book - Walks in Limestone Country - in 1970. In Walk 18 of that book he describes a strange feature which he thought was Celtic and at least 2,000 years old.
In this video we set out to find it and work out if he was right or not about its origins.
Will it deserve a place in our new virtual museum? Watch to find out.
