Thanks for a great vid. I'd previously heard the transmission had to be pulled out to access the thermostat on a commodore, glad to see that is NOT the case. Still one heck of a tricky job though :(

This works 90% of the time. The other 10% will either just spin or stretch the stud and ruin it. I learned this trick when I was younger and would swap cylinders on my 2stroke stuff. The cylinder and exhaust studs would get removed this way. Aloha 🤙

Good thing you used an impact, that way if the stud wasn't coming out easy it would either snap off or take the threads out of the head with it

It would really be helpful to show how you removed the fuse box. Testing the fuse is the east part of the process

Oldest trick in the books and you still did it wrong. You're suppose to use your spanner on the first nut (one on the right) to remove the stud. To which you did behind the scenes before you edited the video of you unscrewing it with the impact.

Nice visuals but you are not saying what you are removing and why. You took out the starter but not say what is was or that you were removing it to reach the water pump.

The torx head stud was only damaged becuse of incorrect use of tools. Learn how to use your tools kids!! Gret back up to have on hand as a dad to teach the kids a fix when they F*ck up.
