To anyone out there going through this…I hope you find the strength to get through it. Start with one step…idk if it’s with massages and stretches or yoga or something…just start with that…fight it. The back may not be the way it was again, but you can definitely fight it….fight ❤️

Wow, after over 2 years of having my neurologists, spine and neuro surgeons say...not sure what causes that...Dr. Woodward really caught my attention when he mentioned Dejerine numbness, onion skin. That is a very accurate description of what I have been dealing with over the past 2 plus years with increasing numbness and dysesthesia. This is a horrible feeling and alarming and frightening to experience. Now, at least I have more accurate way to talk about this. Thank you so much!

surely there must be new and improved ways to cure this? i mean with all the advancements in surgery and medicine, don’t they have anything better than rods? or what about injecting to correct the wedged shapes in the vertebrae? any further research in this field which looks at correcting this without surgery?

My first failed lumbar ant-post fusion of L 4,5 S1 migrated a bone cage into my spinal canal. Revision and Stabilization. My second A& P failed fusion, L 2,3 bone cage migrated into my spinal canal again I tried to make sense of why this could happen 2X and thought Slip Grade was miscalculated. I am now looking at a PSO due to 45-degree deformity and wonder how my past failed fusions could present a problem with sagittal balance to correct kyphosis. Trying to advocate for myself

Do most neurosurgeons require MRIs for a referral or do you do an initial intake and order MRI? I see pros and cons, but if you are trying to build up a new practice, i would think you would take new consultations any way you can. Thanks

Doctor Henry Marsh is one of the greatest humans. I appreciate his films and books. He is in a class by himself in terms of brilliance and generosity. His work is appreciated in many countries that do not have surgical capability and resources. I love that he has helped develop neurosurgery in Ukraine.
