This sounds great. But I don’t have a lot of land I have a huge backyard do you know of any programs that would help me with supplies to start a Food Forest in my backyard?

The best first step to any improvement is to contact your local state NRCS office, or to talk with a certified wildlife biologist in your area!

Did you guys make anything off the Timber? The pulp market is terrible here in TN right now so we may have to pay someone just to take pines.
@whitetailagentsАй бұрын
Yes, we used EQIP and got paid by the federal government as well as making some off the sale of the timber.
@whitetailagentsАй бұрын
Yes, we made some funds off the sale of the timber and we were also enrolled in EQIP so we made most of our funds through that federal program.

Not sure what you mean, David! To come hunt? We are just a privately owned property. We don't sell hunts at the Kentucky Buck Factory.

That laughter. No respect for the life just taken. What are u teaching your kid? The FUN of hunting? Shameful.
@whitetailagents4 ай бұрын
We teach our kids to respect all life and the seriousness of taking one. We also teach them the joy of hunting and feel pride when our kids finally accomplish a major milestone. Sorry if you have never experienced that.

Antler genetics come from the does…Just sayin
@whitetailagents Жыл бұрын
Genetics come from buck and doe. No one can change the genetics of a free range herd. We are only hoping to harvest MATURE bucks, regardless of rack score. And hopefully as we allow the bucks to reach older age classes and provide high quality nutrition we will start to see higher scoring animals on the farm!

I killed a 13 point that scores 171 his sheds from the year before scores 122 with same spread he had when I killed him year before that I have one she'd from him and glad to harvest him when I did I often wonder if he would been a 200 inch buck if he would had another year to grow hope ur patience letting him grow produces the monster buck ur looking for

Man, we are 110% hunt too! No games here. But when you have 60 individual bucks living on 1,000 ares and you have recorded data for each one through trail cams, it can get confusing without names. lol

Just stumbled over this video. Mr. Ross Seyfried was my most favorite gun writer and my personal idol when I was still a fairly young man back in the early 1990s. I still deeply regret when he stopped writing articles for the publications I subscribed to and when I lost touch. It’s great to see this Gentleman still being around, apparently. What a great time it was to be inspired by Mr. Seyfried‘s writing. I learned a ton from him and I am forever grateful that he provided me with so much joy and reading pleasure. How I would have loved to get to know him personally…

Good question! Haha! We film all of this to also be nationally televised on the Whitetail Properties TV show! So for that purpose we like to try to see as much of the animal as possible. Sometimes you just gotta do what ya gotta do though!
