300 gram unstrung with 7 points headlight is the most popular spec for a reason, it works best for most adult players and can handle heavy balls, up to a high level. if you end up playing very high level then add weight

Thank you sir! Beautifully demonstrated. I've been playing for 6 months and just couldn't get the 2-handed backhand down. I was hitting with about 20% accuracy. Switched to a 1-handed last month and it feels like second nature and wished I had switched much sooner. But I was struggling with higher balls and would just awkwardly swing straight across.

I started sprinting on an indoor rowing machine and really enjoy it. I need to work my time up to 10 minutes to achieve more weight loss. I cut out red meat over 5 years ago and do not miss it. I eat seafood and fish on occasion. I know that I am lacking in the fruit department but it is hard to get fresh fruit where I live.

Great tips! I personally think your split step timing on returns might need adjustment. You should start your split step just before your opponent makes contact with the ball, rather than waiting until they actually hit it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqi7fHmQf5WKd68

Tom, what tennis racquet are you using in this video? It look like a Wilson Blade? Excellent lesson by the way! I tested it and it seemed so effortless the first time. The 2nd time I forgot some steps & was way more inconsistent. So going out again to practice the J/Loop Toss and the serves again tonight aiming to memorize your toss & throwing tips!

I never had a kick serve so I'm trying it out my slice is probsbly my go to..most easy or natural and Im serving with s staff 85..i know??.. just for practice and the great feeling you get when you get the right snap. Thanks Tom..all the best.

I love video instruction: can you show from receiver side Deuce and Ad side to see how the ball naturally spins in, and away... and "kicks up laterally moving away from the opponent. I was watching a player at US open and the player hits ball and it s good to see how the ball breaks away from your strike zone, making it harder to return, either deuce or ad side. Can I , as a righty kick serve on deuce side going wide? the natural tendency is to go up the middle

great video- Ive tried this and it really frees up your swing and confidence when the ball spins in. Follow up question- how do you modify this serve to make it a first serve? Toss further in front and pronate more through? while still brushing? Im confused on what people call a flat/slice serve

I gotta disagree on one comment. After I hit the ball I immediately watch my opponent. Watching my ball does not give me much, if any info. I have started doing this and it is a big help in anticipating what my opponent is going to do.

Hey there Tom this was the only return Google gave me for this subject. How are things. Remember that juice for nutrition video you did years ago? I came down with either Rhuematoide Arthritis or Gout. Exceptionally painful toes I had I had I tell you* SIR! I took celery and/or TART cherry juice. Buy cherry juice at Costco half the price of anywhere else. Well I tell you those two items stopped the excruciating pain in it's tracks and I lost 10lbs as well just moving easier 👍👍 So the reason I'm texting today was I absolutely got taken to the Woodshed this morning. The server was tall and he was serving hard and deep with kicking topspin. No matter what I did I could not get even one return all morning. A most humbling and infuriating experience! On retrospect I was 2 ft behind the Baseline this morning but five or six feet would have done it actually so this video has been extremely helpful in finding a solution already. The only other question I have is how do you counter the heavy top and side spin with your own racket? Do you hold the racket tighter I was trying to put topspin on his Top Spin and it just wasn't working period. So I think I will try to hit through the ball from further behind the Baseline for starters and if necessary I will attempt a forehand slice that's another good idea. Very intimidating serve this for a short guy like me but will put my body into the return too. Back spin slice would go very well with his Top Spin. Great to see you Tom I hope all is well, take care, Rich. 🙂👋

Hi Tom! I read 'Vic Braden's Quick Fixes' book, which helped me a lot to improve my net play and my whole game. In your opinion, which books would you recommend that teaches tennis fundamentals in more detail, teaches on how to run fast on tennis court and improving reflexes? Must say Vic Braden was a genius! Thanks!

wow dude you are so brainwashed on dietary fat, are you saying being in a ketogenic state is bad for humans? Also, the human body is made up of saturated fat, yet saturated fat is bad for us? It is people like you that just parrot the main stream information that has led to obesity skyrocketing over the last 40 years, even though the "experts" have stated that fat is bad for us.

Great vid guys, with some great concepts and ideas to handle this tricky serve. Thanks!__ I would comment, that the kicks serve out to the 2nd court is probably the trickier problem to solve, particularly if it's really able to carry the bounce and take you right out wide. If they come in, DTL leaves court open. If you go high, they have a smash. And hard to get it down low cross-court. If they can vary the serve, then tricky to come-in and catch it on-the-rise. Moral of the story for me - develop a great kick-serve out wide. 😅
