What machine(grinder?polisher) is that?

I want to do a blotchy black acid stained floor in my garage. What would be the downside of not sealing it after? The reason why I don’t want to seal it is because since I live in Arizona, a lot of people have trouble with hot tires peeling up the sealant.

What brand of stain did you use

Any grinding necessary for stain to take? Or just a good clean?

My husband is been very resistant about this flooring because of ECHO. We had a small party in our basement for my daughter and it was so Loud with echo with the plain concrete floor that he doesn't think we can keep a concrete floor. How can we make that work? I like the look and I really do not want carpet down there. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Wow, what a process. I’ve been trying to find the correct process for our old colored cement floors from 1950. So far I’ve just cleaned best I can and resealed with Behr wet look sealant. It looks okay but old dirt/oil and sealant always makes the floors look beat up. Do you think a similar process would work for our kind of floor? I’ve always thought there might be a way to strip and resurface but have been scared to attempt anything…

Why do you seal it before water staining it ? Don’t you want the water sealer to penetrate the concrete ?
