Video is fantastic but you show over $1000 tools for that flat tire, I think I will take it somewhere to do it for me for $60 to $80 or leave the dam nail right there
@HazardSportsАй бұрын
@@alirezaNikkhah I did not use $1,000 worth of tools. I have a tire plug kit that I carry on my motorcycle which doesn’t have enough room for $1,000 worth of tools. I have plugged motorcycle tires on the side of the road many times! $60 - $80 for a shop to plug your tire is way too much money but if you don’t know how to use tools or think you need $1G worth of tools - then paying $80 may be your best option. Thanks for sharing your perspective ! If you read the other comments you will see that this video has helped many people who are mechanically inclined and understand that I am merely displaying an example on how I plug a tire which they can watch to help them visualize the written instructions that come with a plug kit. The rasp and ream kit was $20 when I bought it decades ago. Because that specific kit is outdated it goes for a premium now. But for my bike I carry a $15 kit that came with plugs and does the same exact thing - which I bought in a local auto parts store. Best of luck getting your tire repaired. I recommend that you don’t “leave the dam nail right there”. You’re on borrowed time with a punctured tire. Good luck !

@HazardSports It snows where I am now in the winter, so doing some heavy maintenance. I got her pretty banged up off a guy in Texas and just used her to learn the ropes. I might ride her come spring time, but the plan is to sell her when everyone's riding again. I want to upgrade into an ~08 R6. Although the new R9 is looking sweet. Just not sure if I need another note atm. 🤔
@HazardSports2 ай бұрын
I had an ‘06 R6 and loved it! Right now my favorite bike is a Versys 650. I just bought my 2nd one and its a keeper. I had a new 2014 and put 29k miles on it the sold it for a new Africa Twin (‘19) - put 14k miles on that (a ton of fun) but hated how it shifted and didnt do any the off-road adventures I expected. I missed how tossable the versys was and decided sport touring was my thing so bought the 2023 Versys 650 I have now. Sure the Versys 1000 was tempting but the 650 has better range (fuel economy on long trips) and again more maneuverable in tight spaces. But based on the sport bikes you’re naming I have to say that the GSXR 750 is the best bike ever made (in my opinion)! Agile like a 600 and closer to liter bike power! Best of both worlds! The 2025 paint scheme is awesome (grey / black). I’m not a sport bike guy anymore but if I were a gsxr 750 would be perfect for me !

I know I'm late to the party, but what if you're trying to read the sd card & don't want to delete your photos?
@HazardSports2 ай бұрын
You’re never late to the party here! I remember years ago I bought a PC software that was able to read “deleted” files. They are never really deleted unless you reformatted the card or write / record something over that data. Otherwise the files are “invisible” and will be written over. I have no idea how to “recover deleted files” without purchasing software. I have never been able to recover files from a corrupted card. I don’t remember ever trying that and don’t know if you can. The only thing I have been able to do is to get a different device to read it but that hasn’t worked in years. If you do find another way then please do come back here and share!

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately you cant buy these mounts anymore but you can easily buy a generic case for any action cam and drill holes into the hat to sip tie it on. Those clip on mounts work good for slow moving shots but if your doing any “action cam” type stuff the weight on the front of bill feels awkward and feels like it might fly off. Tucked all the way back of the bill towards the cap it is far more stable!

I would appreciate if you could help me: what is the ideal weather or temperature to use POR15 Rust Preventative? Would it be a good idea to use in a 100 degree weather?
@HazardSports7 ай бұрын
I used it again the other day in a project. It was a very humid day. Before I was done with the first coat the paint was hardening in the brush. I was using the brush continuously yet it was hardening that fast (hours). Non- stop 2 coats took me 2 brushes over the span of 5hrs. Thin coats. This paint dries super fast in humidity. The temperature is less important. When I use other automotive paints I prefer hot sunny days to heat up the metal and let the paint bake in the sun. Two different animals.

You left out an important step. First work the rasp tool in and out and twist until it moves easily. Then COAT THE CRAP out of the rasp using the included rubber cement and run the rasp in and out. Coat it again and do the same. Allow to dry for a minute or two, THEN insert the sticky rope as you showed. Often the rope won't go in easily, if not then rotate the rope as you press it in. Be sure to trim off most of the excess.
@HazardSports11 ай бұрын
Rubber cement doesn’t come in all of the kits and I have rarely used it. However, your advice is great and my buddy said he does it your way also. I haven’t had a plug fail without the rubber cement but with it as you suggested would still give me greater confidence in the plug.
