You start with inside shade for slant. Then back shuffle toward sideline at a backward angle forcing them toward the safety help inside the hashes. So youre kind if trying to take away the outside and funnel toward the zone in the middle. Just a guess. I hope that helps somebody.

I fully disagree with you and every Coach tells d b's do not look at the quarterback or the ball, Look at Receiver and play his hands. I can one hundred percent promise you You will give far more interceptions and break ups. If halfway through the route you'd turn around while tracking the receiver with your hand, And get a quick Lance at the quarterback and the ball.And to where he's going. I can't tell you how many times the ball.Pretty much hits the d v in the back of the helmet... Or. If it's a Decent receiver that's well taught He's not gonna show hands until He's just about to catch it... My vanit's too late because you don't even know where the Ball is. Had you, you would know how to play the ball.ALWAYS TRACK THE BALL!!! If nothing else it could have been a run.And you could hurry up to make the tackle and leave your receiver

Show the drill first then break it down. All the start-stop kills the flow of the drills.

This was a horrible example and you know it. It's not a good whip route and you know that too. Of course it's easy to guard when the receiver slips.

Bro cam Sutton is the most overrated defensive player on the lions
@brandonbaty229110 ай бұрын
Overrated?? He is the most hated defensive player on the team. I feel like he is UNDERrated despite the fact that he got burned by elite WR1s. He is clearly not THAT guy, but does he really deserve the hate and people claiming he is trash and needs to be cut etc?? He was solid the whole first half of the season and he was put into a position he never was intended to be in. And of course he failed pretty bad, but as a CB2 he should be great. Right??
@bigboymaniac931010 ай бұрын
@@brandonbaty2291 I agree he shouldn’t be totally hated on but every time commentators there talking about the lions defense they always glaze cam and every time a huge play happens for the other it’s most likely cams fault
@austindufour7 ай бұрын
@@brandonbaty2291from a Steelers fan I can confirm he was put in a spot he shouldn’t have been. For the Steelers he was really solid as a CB2 and slot. He’s not a lockdown CB1 by any stretch. He was never an elite athlete but was pretty technically sound and usually in the right spot in the Steelers scheme. I did not see many Lions games but when I did it usually wasn’t a great look for Sutton.
