You start with inside shade for slant. Then back shuffle toward sideline at a backward angle forcing them toward the safety help inside the hashes. So youre kind if trying to take away the outside and funnel toward the zone in the middle. Just a guess. I hope that helps somebody.

how can i get my head around on deep balls. I have a tournament coming up this weekend and when deep balls are thrown on me i get scared and dont turn my head. I get a pbu but its because i jumped and hoped the receiver didnt catch the ball. please make a video about this soon. I really need it

Exact reason why I came to this video, I don't wanna be too greedy for the ball and loose the WR so I just don't look at all and got a PI because the QB completely underthrew and I just ran straight into the WR.... Did you find out when to turn back yet?

This is super late but i hope this helps: Remember INTERCEPTIONS DON'T HAPPEN IN MAN COVERAGE.Obviously, that's an exaggeration but remember in man coverage you're job is the MAN! If you miss a tackle, misjudge a ball (esp. If you're playing man bc of a blitz which is 90% of the time) it probably will lead to 6. Zone is when you have underneath/inside help and can take gambles and be aggressive big plays in man usually happen bc the offense fkd up. Obviously getting your head around and locating the ball is the next step you want to make to get better but don't get stuck on the ball until you reach the receivers hip anyway and there is nothing wrong with playing through the catch remember the receiver HAS TO put his arms out to catch the ball right? So if you see his hands that means the ball is coming!(only really high lvl NFL receivers know how to stack and flash their hands at the lost possible second to sheild the defender from making a play on the ball)When he flashes hands dont just chop straight down bc all you will do is basically slap the ball directly into his stomach. Swipe and rip. If say hes on ur right side right arm to secure the tackle left arm chop through both arms then on the way down im basically hooking his left arm with my bicep think arm bar the closest hand to you bc if he makes the catch then hey pat him on the back bc thats a great play😂 *ALL THAT TO SAY THIS* EYES LIL BRO EYES practice getting more comfortable tracking the ball in the air in general (if you have someonewho can throw you go balls in your off time) but the main thing is eyes IF YOU MOVE YOUR EYES THEN YOUR HEAD WILL MOVE THEN THE REST OF YOUR BODY WILL TURN *BUT YOU NEED TO MOVE YOUR EYES/HEAD FIRST* just think look at the ball the rest of your body will naturally adjust but alot of ppl try to make plays without getting the head around first and that's when you will lose the ball. AND STAY CALM WHEN THE BALL IS IN THE AIR DON'T THINK OH SHT I MIGHT GET BEAT JUST THINK OH SHT I GOTTA GO GET THAT!!

Hey coach, I’ve been watching a good amount of film recently and i see a lot of db’s in cover 3 or 4 let receivers get outside of them and in their blind spot, are those situation where the db should’ve taken a leverage step outside or were they ok with receivers getting in their blind spot
