Why didn’t we buy a GE again? We moved and I wanted to start new with a different model so I can compare and make new videos. I may buy a used GE front loader so I can wash laundry faster.

There is a way to make the machine turn off automatically. That means your calves are less likely to tap the buttons while unloading it. I posted a video starting with “Solved” - let me know if you need the link.

for 2.5-3 years I've owned a GE model one step below the auto soap dispenser one you are working on. in that time, I've averaged maybe 3-4 loads of laundry a month and yesterday I found my bathroom flooded. the product worked great for the entire time I've had it until this disaster. with that few loads of laundry and that time span you would think the product would last longer without issues. I'll be calling GE tomorrow to see exactly what that 10-year warranty sticker is worth. after reading all the rest of the comments it seems like 2.5-3 years is the point where people start having problems. its a damned shame in the reviews there are not follow up time periods. i never would have bought a front load had i known what i know now...

I’m sorry to hear your room flooded. You may be right about the machines working well for 2.5-3 years before needing repairs. It may be a tactic companies use to stay in business. If every machine lasted 10+ years, sales would drop. We used our machines heavily, so I can’t complain. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have another video that says “SOLVED…” which shows you how to change the automatic off option on the Bosch dishwasher. I’ll try to link it in a comment. For the smelly dishes, you could try cleaning the trap at the bottom of the dishwasher (inside) or buy Affresh for dishwashers to “clean” the machine’s insides.

I recently bought this dryer, I notice the clothing/drum doesn't get hot. The items dry but it takes a couple cycles. Is that normal for it to stay cool?
@fixthishouse3303
@fixthishouse3303 8 күн бұрын
Maybe you’re using the wrong setting. I don’t own this dryer anymore, but there are heat settings, timed dry settings and automatic dry sensing settings. If you are running a timed cycle or using low heat or maybe even the wrinkle guard option, the clothes may not dry fully. What setting are you using?
@JordanWilson-r1v
@JordanWilson-r1v 7 күн бұрын
@@fixthishouse3303 I have tried the different cycles (timed dry, normal, bulky) but I cannot figure out how to change the actual settings.
@fixthishouse3303

@JordanWilson-r1v press on the words “Level” or “Temp”. I don’t think that’s the issue. It sounds like something isn’t working. Is the dryer vent clear? It could be blocked. If you bought the machine “new” within the year, contact GE customer support. You may have a defective machine.

I have a GFW650 with a door locking issue. When I try to start a cycle, the solenoid locking mechanism will click repeatedly and the washer will eventually give up and say "end". I'm guessing the control board is not sensing that the solenoid lock is closed (coil impedance might be out of spec so measured current is out of range). I took it all apart and inspected the connections, looked the board over and didn't see any visual damage like burnt parts, and when I put it all back together, it started working again. If your door is stuck shut, unplug the unit for a few minutes, plug it back in, and turn the cycle select knob. Solenoid lock should release.

What works every time for me: Turn the adjuster until the slats are fully open so you can see through the window. They then go up and down every time.

We just moved into a new house. There are a few sets of cordless blinds of unknown age (look newer though). I just tried raising them with the slats closed. They didn’t retract easily, but “pooled” in my hand. Then I opened the slats as you suggested and they went up easily. Thanks!!

@@fixthishouse3303 I couldn’t figure it out when I moved into my new place. Sometimes they went up, sometimes they didn’t. And one day I just decided, hmm, let me open the slats and try it, and it works with every set of blinds I have in my house. Glad it worked 🤙
