Clean dirty handrails, remove grime and dirt from wooden staircase railing with Dawn PowerWash

We moved into a new-to-us house that needs a lot of work. One of the first tasks: clean the sticky, grubby wood hand rails leading to the 2nd floor.
I chose to use Dawn Power Wash dish detergent. I’m a big fan of its ability to cut through grease and grime!

Could you use this spray cleaner on a rope hand rail 🤔?

The handrail is made of rope? The Dawn Powerwash is an excellent cleaner… you could try it. I might use a fabric or rug cleaner like OxyClean or Folex.
