So you can use Amplify to raise OR lower the volume, or use it to fix bits of clipping? I've been trying to do readings, and I'm currently struggling with getting the volume good and loud while also trying to avoid clipping at all. Maybe it's the combination of my microphone volume and recording volume, but I tried to use Amplify to up the volume of the whole reading after I was done recording. It didn't increase it by much, and my efforts to try and increase it bit by bit left me worried about inconsistent volume. But I thought maybe I could use Amplify to fix those bits of clipping in the base recording in post, just so I don't have to worry about it or try to redo louder bits, because it's so hard to try and be loud and energetic (like say, when someone is yelling or distressed) and yet not clip, you know? But...does using amplify to fix clipping STILL leave the audio distorted? Or, if the clipping portion is really small, would you even be able to tell?

another question: coming from ps cs6(the last good standalone) do you know any option for key presets to import? PS keyboard layout in gimp?
@chaitai25335 күн бұрын
thanks for showing/promoting! its so sad that gimp doesnt go the way of blender. should be way more famous and receive more donations. (around 65000 per ano now)Imagine if on 1% percent of photoshop earnings would flow into gimp!!! what a blessing for humanity that would be. same with linux and other open source. its crazy how a few greedy corporations pull all the money. I will never buy subscription software

not sure if you mention this in another video (or whether it was even possible when you made this one) but there's a useful preference under Preferences >> Tools where you can set 'Toolbar Display Behaviour' so that it's 'Show Tools for Level Only'. That way your toolbar shows only those tools which can be used on your chosen level . (The default is for OpenToonz to display all tools all of the time, meaning you can select a tool only to discover that it's not available on whatever type of level you're working on.) Many Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Very cool the way you cut through the BS and give us just what we need to get up and running.

I love your videos, but you got the fill colour procedure wrong around the 6:00 minute mark. You were actually reducing the saturation of red and green to make the blue stronger. Notice the top bar had the letter "R" for red and the second bar had the letter "G" for green. As you move the line in those bars to the left, you are making them more transparent or weaker in colour.

@rvalle13 & TJ FREE thank you so much. I have been using Inkscape since 0.92 and each upgrade kicked my butt. Like @rvalle13, I learn from taking notes. I have really only used "the basics" in inkscape trying to help making svg files and teaching inkscape basics that I learned from the group leader. You both have finally made 1.3.2 a fun experience!

a very USELESSSSS video... yes you do a crop to selection but when you export it you get your tiny selection in the middle of a huge black area.. It doesnt explain how to get rid of this black area. Somehow the image size must be reduced to crop size. I have watched tens of gimp videos but nobody seems to be aware of this problem.. Negative given for my wasted 11 minutes...
