Apparently bears have changed their attitudes towards the zombies. On the small map I had a bear chase me all the way from the internet cafe he always stayed outside to north of the ship and he run along with the zombies. He would have chased further but I got impatient and left him there

Looks like you're getting to the point I was when I got the NPC's. Being overwhelmed. I had everything I needed before getting them so it didn't take as long to get overwhelmed and having to start building more and more storage. That's why I asked to be able to have more control over them.

Yes, a bit overwhelmed with the resources. Would like a “Take a Break” option in the preferences. Maybe just doing Control Center, NPC House, Quarry, Logger’s Shed, and Botanical Garden only would be smart 🤔 More types of resources but less ‘productivity’ overall. You could also rescue less NPCs I guess. But that seems mean. I still rescue Alice every time 😂

For the breeding pens to work only have a male/female per pen. I guess they like their privacy.

It’s curious there’s no way to know if I found a good match of animals until they mature a bit. Definitely easier to tell in real life if two animals can breed 😂😂

@@313VeeGaming Except for chickens. I have to let my wife check. The place we usually buy chickens said they're all suppose to be hens. The time I got chickens most of them was roosters. I just picked the ones that looked good she actually checked for the ones that was female.

All of that oil. That's why I only repair 1 oil well. It's heavy so you can only carry very little at a time. I'd fill backpacks and carry them to the vehicle while more pumped. If it doesn't despawn looks like you've got enough pumped for a long long time. The pump doesn't take much power. Running 2 oil refiners does.

I think I have at least 500 oil, thats 500 liters of fuel 🤯 The curious thing is how little the oil pump storage is. I guess most people probably do the same as you and unload while it fills. I completely forgot the oil was pumping altogether 🙈😂 Yes I learned my lesson, one is enough. Would still be fun to do a production line with the 3 and have several advanced chemical labs and chemistry tables all turning it into fuel barrels. A whole fuel factory setup 🤩

@@313VeeGaming I agree it would be. The developers would need to add better power production for me to do it though. IMO what would it accomplish to use the fuel you refined to fuel fuel generators to create the power needed to refine the gas? I've got at least 5 more fuel generators I can build. It'd take a lot of fuel to run 8 fuel generators continuously. If you load the Hold Your Own save check out the power panel and see how the wind turbines do. I've got 2 extractors running continuously.

I built 3 Christmas trees at 3 separate bases in Scum to try and game the system. Turns out I only got a present at the Christmas tree where my bed was. I was trying to make up for not getting jump scares. Didn't work.

@@313VeeGaming Every year I get a present under the tree. Usually a weapon and weapon package. This year I got an AKS 74u with an entire accessory package. Before I got on the server I'm on the server I was on then the admins would go around and build Christmas trees for people that didn't have one and I'm pretty sure we'd get a present under the tree also. That's been a few years ago.

@@313VeeGaming There was jump scares at Halloween and also Christmas. At Halloween a ghost would do the jump scare and Santa at Christmas. You'd get some kind of present. I've never had one. A developer said it took looting 100 to 150 empty containers to trigger the jump scare. After the jump scare started my empty containers seemed to vanish. It'd take an entire large town to get 5 searches for empty containers. I commented on how the developers was penalizing people on high loot servers and I'd like to see something besides empty containers to trigger the jump scare.

I use 2 smoking racks and smoke a full hiking backpack full of meat at at time. It's not too bad. I still think the food goes bad too fast. Food in the freezer should last a long time. It should be thawed before eating. Except strawberries. I like eating them frozen.

I just said this in another comment. It needs to last longer frozen. Like slow the timer in the fridge, give cooked meals like 7 days freshness in fridge then slow timer to last 10 days. For freezer, meat and soups/stews should have 6 months. The cans we loot should be less, and that would be fine, they have been sitting in a zombie apocalypse for a while 😂

Considering how the items respawn I'm not sure how they work the they've been sitting for a while. When items are fully fresh is that what we'd call fresh or fresh for the game? According to what I read acidic canned foods will last 12 - 18 months. Another place said this. "Canned food can endure indefinitely-or at least several years past the date on the label

In the greenhouse I was pushing for a second wheat at the end. I've been cooking a lot of sandwiches lately. I need to start cooking more full meals. I also need to look up the recipe. It'd be so much better if we had cookbooks like I have in Scum. I'd also like to grow mushrooms and be able to harvest the crops out in the wild. I did find 7 mushrooms while outrunning the bears and boars. Didn't find any medicinal herbs though. I've never looked for it so i don't know a good place to look for it. I've forgotten all of the good locations I've seen in videos.

I wish we could grow mushrooms, it would be nice to not have to remember where they spawn like the cars. I really enjoy the cooking. Just wish I could cook in bulk and freeze soups and stews for a long time in game like I do irl. The full meal is a potato side dish (2 potatoes or 1 potato and 2 veggies), meat, and strawberries. There is a trick to get poorer condition items to full. If it stacks, you add it to a full quality item, and it becomes full strength. Obviously food, and things that don't stack are at the mercy of rng. Yellow quality and below items give less when dismantling as well, small hammers and kukris are not worth the time to dismantle if not at full quality.

Just thought I'd mention I'm still boycotting the lights because of it taking too many wire. I just checked and I already have 28 of the long ceiling lights throughout the base. I think its ridiculous it takes 50% more for the small light than it does for the long ceiling light. I'll leave all of those lights in blueprint.

@@313VeeGaming Sometimes i just leave the lights off and use the setting to brighten up things. i used to only use the setting to lighten up things. It's part of the game so I'm just using what the game gave me. It doesn't work as good as it used to though.

@ Same for me too. Now that the brightness barely does anything, like you said, I rely on the shoulder lights a lot more. The way they reflect off the labels on the boxes hurts my eyes, though so it’s worth it to make the lights I need.

Probably takes 10 like the rest of them. If you asked me to guess what it would reasonably cost to build a street light, I would say 5 glass, 3 wire, 2 iron, and 5 logs. And maybe 5 cement depending on how it was put in the ground 🤔

The red dot sight is my favorite sight. The 223 scope is my favorite in NoS and in Scum. Scum has a variety of pistol sights. The Sentry is my favorite. I like an open unobstructed sight. The M82 scope in Scum is a nice scope for pvp players. It was too powerful for me in pve. In pvp players snipe 1km or more.

If you put the bees in the greenhouse they could serve their purpose and pollinate the crops and maybe have a better yield. I only have 6 beehives but I keep them in the greenhouse.

Very nice, I'd come there to survive :D The only thing that's missing in my opinion are lookout towers or similar, a way to see (and shoot) over the wall. Would be fun in multiplayer for sure.

I did have towers in my first layout, but removed them so I could fit other buildings 🤔 You think towers on the outside would be strange? Oh! Could probably building them into the corners so there is access from the inside but part of them is the outer wall..

In Scum they made it to where a player can only jump twice then their stamina is dead. The puppets can still jump like bunnies and kangaroos and zip around.

These kangaroos are too much. Their pathing is so bizarre. The jumping takes then miles away from where they aggro-ed 🤷🏼♀️ I think it was a fix to the zombies jumping too high. I’d rather leaping lizards than killer kangaroos 😂

After a pretty long break I loaded the game earlier and played for a few days. I was wondering why I couldn't find a particular medicine. Then i got reminded in discord about the medical bench and I realized I hadn't built it yet. Turns out I needed medical herbs and only had 1 plant in the greenhouse. I decided to drive east of the base in the woods to find some. Turns out about everywhere I went boars or bears chased me so I couldn't get out and get much of anything. Then i went to the little hospital up by the base. Thought I'd sneak in and do a little looting. Turns out the zombies decided that wasn't happening. Did get to check out the Katana. Only found 1 probiotic. Turns out right after loading the game I was thirsty so I went to get a drink. I started drinking before I realized the filter was gone. The probiotic took care of that and now I'm waiting a few more days for the medical herbs to mature. Maybe next time I'll go over to the trader and see if I can get some solar panels and build another solar array.

Heads up, Medical herbs for the herbal tea isn’t working since “food poisoning” doesn’t exist in the game anymore. It’s dysentery and cholera now. Make sure you plant corn and carrots if you want to make good medicine! Glad to hear you are playing again ☺️🥳

Yes, because I am covering more distance faster I am increasing the area where the zombies are spawning/showing on my screen. Would be worse if the cars were faster I think 🤔 😂

I get a lot of my ammo from the large Motel in C6, small amounts in houses like the ones in F4 and F7, but the police stations in B6 and E6 or military base in G7 is the best place to get it in bulk if you aren’t doing your own bullet production. You can also buy small amounts of ammo from traders. There’s G7, F3, and D1 traders that sell guns and ammo.

I'm basically wait and see what happens. Scum used to have wandering puppets and removed them for optimization. I'm anxious for the rotorcraft. A long time to wait though. Not anxious for the wandering bandits. Scum added quest recently. Starting out with fetch quest. Then there's kill zombies with a blunt object or a sharp object or manipulate items or check out items. Haven't seen higher level quest yet.

Quests would be fun in NOS 🤔 If the Transmit Signals section had more options. Perhaps it would give you RNG option for either level 1, 2, or 3, and then 2 other quests you could pick. Like easier one such as bring the Trader 40 medicinal herbs and a medium on where you had to bring them back a certain number of zombie teeth or toxin.

The farm that spans C6 and D6 has a pile of bales of hay and 2 pitchforks. Every bale is searchable and even the to pitchforks are searchable, they supposedly have food.

Yes, I know exactly where you mean! It’s normally a lot of stew and honey stew canned meat and dog food. I haven’t been there since last season. Definitely a good spot to sneak in for food ☺️
