Looks like you're getting to the point I was when I got the NPC's. Being overwhelmed. I had everything I needed before getting them so it didn't take as long to get overwhelmed and having to start building more and more storage. That's why I asked to be able to have more control over them.

Yes, a bit overwhelmed with the resources. Would like a “Take a Break” option in the preferences. Maybe just doing Control Center, NPC House, Quarry, Logger’s Shed, and Botanical Garden only would be smart 🤔 More types of resources but less ‘productivity’ overall. You could also rescue less NPCs I guess. But that seems mean. I still rescue Alice every time 😂

@@313VeeGaming I would be fine with having more control over what the resources they get and like you said even have a "take a Break" option. I don't really like having the NPC's around. Even in NMS I don't like having pets. I had one once.

All of that oil. That's why I only repair 1 oil well. It's heavy so you can only carry very little at a time. I'd fill backpacks and carry them to the vehicle while more pumped. If it doesn't despawn looks like you've got enough pumped for a long long time. The pump doesn't take much power. Running 2 oil refiners does.

I think I have at least 500 oil, thats 500 liters of fuel 🤯 The curious thing is how little the oil pump storage is. I guess most people probably do the same as you and unload while it fills. I completely forgot the oil was pumping altogether 🙈😂 Yes I learned my lesson, one is enough. Would still be fun to do a production line with the 3 and have several advanced chemical labs and chemistry tables all turning it into fuel barrels. A whole fuel factory setup 🤩

@@313VeeGaming I agree it would be. The developers would need to add better power production for me to do it though. IMO what would it accomplish to use the fuel you refined to fuel fuel generators to create the power needed to refine the gas? I've got at least 5 more fuel generators I can build. It'd take a lot of fuel to run 8 fuel generators continuously. If you load the Hold Your Own save check out the power panel and see how the wind turbines do. I've got 2 extractors running continuously.

In the greenhouse I was pushing for a second wheat at the end. I've been cooking a lot of sandwiches lately. I need to start cooking more full meals. I also need to look up the recipe. It'd be so much better if we had cookbooks like I have in Scum. I'd also like to grow mushrooms and be able to harvest the crops out in the wild. I did find 7 mushrooms while outrunning the bears and boars. Didn't find any medicinal herbs though. I've never looked for it so i don't know a good place to look for it. I've forgotten all of the good locations I've seen in videos.

I wish we could grow mushrooms, it would be nice to not have to remember where they spawn like the cars. I really enjoy the cooking. Just wish I could cook in bulk and freeze soups and stews for a long time in game like I do irl. The full meal is a potato side dish (2 potatoes or 1 potato and 2 veggies), meat, and strawberries. For the breeding pens to work only have a male/female per pen. I guess they like their privacy.

It’s curious there’s no way to know if I found a good match of animals until they mature a bit. Definitely easier to tell in real life if two animals can breed 😂😂

@@313VeeGaming Except for chickens. I have to let my wife check. The place we usually buy chickens said they're all suppose to be hens. The time I got chickens most of them was roosters. I just picked the ones that looked good she actually checked for the ones that was female.

I built 3 Christmas trees at 3 separate bases in Scum to try and game the system. Turns out I only got a present at the Christmas tree where my bed was. I was trying to make up for not getting jump scares. Didn't work.

@@313VeeGaming Every year I get a present under the tree. Usually a weapon and weapon package. This year I got an AKS 74u with an entire accessory package. Before I got on the server I'm on the server I was on then the admins would go around and build Christmas trees for people that didn't have one and I'm pretty sure we'd get a present under the tree also. That's been a few years ago.

@@313VeeGaming There was jump scares at Halloween and also Christmas. At Halloween a ghost would do the jump scare and Santa at Christmas. You'd get some kind of present. I've never had one. A developer said it took looting 100 to 150 empty containers to trigger the jump scare. After the jump scare started my empty containers seemed to vanish. It'd take an entire large town to get 5 searches for empty containers. I commented on how the developers was penalizing people on high loot servers and I'd like to see something besides empty containers to trigger the jump scare.

I use 2 smoking racks and smoke a full hiking backpack full of meat at at time. It's not too bad. I still think the food goes bad too fast. Food in the freezer should last a long time. It should be thawed before eating. Except strawberries. I like eating them frozen.

I just said this in another comment. It needs to last longer frozen. Like slow the timer in the fridge, give cooked meals like 7 days freshness in fridge then slow timer to last 10 days. For freezer, meat and soups/stews should have 6 months. The cans we loot should be less, and that would be fine, they have been sitting in a zombie apocalypse for a while 😂

Considering how the items respawn I'm not sure how they work the they've been sitting for a while. When items are fully fresh is that what we'd call fresh or fresh for the game? According to what I read acidic canned foods will last 12 - 18 months. Another place said this. "Canned food can endure indefinitely-or at least several years past the date on the label
