What do you mean by "pelvic floor exercise"? I have problems in that area - whenever I feel my left hip flare - I have erections problems - and whenever I fix it, I get back to normal. That's why I am looking for solutions. The first time I fixed it through step downs and slant board step downs (actually I was doing them to fix right knee pain, but ended up fixing left hip ) - but then, somehow some day, I flared up again. If I do them again, at times it flares me up further, at times it fixes me - it's been about 15 months like this, on and off... I Can't understand exactly how to find a progression or something that works always. Left hip with limited IR/ER compared to right side - and tightness in TFL/glute mid area. Sometimes flares up with discomfort/pains.

Here is a cheat code for programming upper body 👇🏻 Program one day which is all about hypertrophy. A “beefcake” day if you will. Bilateral compound lifts that you just full send. Nothing fancy just heavy weights and a whole lot of effort. Add in some eccentric control in deep loaded stretches and maybe something high rep at the end to catch a sick pump. On the second day program a rotational focused day where we have a lot of alternating and reciprocal movements while still lifting. Think about getting the ribcage to rotate. Let the scape move. Integrate obliques. Cables can work really well here. Throw in the some supersets with core work like side bends and medball drills. This will allow you to get the best of both worlds. What do you think? Have you tried this?

I hope younger coaches who have questioned themselves see this and find solace. Results come in all forms specifically in the form of the clients actual goals. If they come to you to lose 10 lbs they shouldn’t leave for first session labeled a LAIC, anterior pelvic tilt, or a dysfunctional left torsion. Be intentional with your language removing barriers for exercises and promoting a positive relationship with their body. Not being good at running doesn’t mean they need to train everything but running for a decade to start sprinting. Find a reasonable entry point and start slow and steady. You can also try for specific local tissue adaptions like progressively overloading hamstrings in an isolating manner while in the same program you work on rotational movements that connect the body in a “functional” manner

It’s the force vectors 🧬 Is it though? You sure about that? - Tim Robinson This is yet another example of critical thinking being so important. Create the problem. Sell the solution. Continually design more problems and sell tools to those solutions. More critical thinking…. It is fully possible that functional patterns is helping a ton of people and completely messing countless others up. For every one posture picture success story you see there are countless others who did FP for years and ended up unbelievably neurotic and negative about their body. How do I know? I have trained them. I have mentored them. They are all in the comments (before they get deleted or blocked) The creator himself just made a comment I saw the other day about how he isn’t ready to sprint in his workouts. He can only touch them 🤷🏻♂️ Do you realize how insane that is? To create a system based on gait and claimed to be the savior of the industry only to not be able to sprint? As we discussed in our Programming Live for PTA the other day…. Please do not put these self limiting beliefs on our clients. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences? Are you also blocked 🤣 PS this post is not an attack on the people at FP including Naudi. This is about using critical thinking to highlight a major issue in our industry. FP is not the only system getting results and they are not the only ones creating barriers for people’s health either. Continued in comments 👇🏻

@@IanMarkow I know how to read and don't have problems understanding. The point remains that adding music is unnecessary and gets in the way. If I want to listen to music I can add it in my background. But many sensible people prefer to focus on what is being said without music. Why would I want to read text on the screen? If I went to someone in person and they had music playing I would ask them to turn it off or replace them with someone more professional that wouldn't need to have these things explained to them!!!

And it's REALLY stupid to say that the words are on the screen! I wouldn't need to read the screen if I could follow what is being said. So many people mess this up 👇🏻 My newest client was having a lot of neck and thoracic spine tightness. I’m not a big fan of completely changing everything someone does right away. One huge hint of what was going on was they mentioned keeping their shoulder blade locked down and back on their pushing exercises. They also mentioned squeezing the shoulder blade FIRST and ALWAYS on back focused exercises. So I kept his program the same for the first week and we worked on new stuff together. The one change I made was I just said let your shoulder blades move. The next time I saw them they said they didn’t feel any neck or back tightness 🤷🏻♂️ Moral of the story: let the scaps move on pushing exercises and pull thinking about the elbow. Simple. You would be shocked how many people issues would be solved by not squeezing their shoulder blades back and down 😅

Almost everyone makes these mistakes 👇🏻 The goal of the cat cow is to flex and extend your spine. The goal of a global spine CAR is to segmentally flex and extend your spine. One vertebrae at a time. People will struggle to move through their thoracic spine resulting in just squeezing their back. When they do it right they can barely hold it for 5 seconds because those tissues are so weak and undertrained. Ironically everyone has done a chin tuck but no one can actually flex their cervical spine Clean these two things up for yourself and clients….. You will feel so much better and actually improve the way your spine moves. Drop a 🐴 if you got the Ichabod deep reference 👇🏻 Save this one and share it with a friend
