I think you're on to something with the no swimming. There's all those weird monsters and drawings on the map screen round the sea. What if like the rune of death was sealed away to stop people dying, there's like a rune of water that Miquella stole to stop swimming. So no one could reach those sea monsters anymore.

Messmer is based on the summerian god, Ningishzida, which translates to "lord of the good tree". Messmer "planted" the Erdtree by piling up corpses. That first scene shows Marika entering the Erdtree, which we know has a gold lining around it. The Erdtree roots are always surrounded by corpses. Marika surrounded the Erdtree in gold to veil the fact that it is made entirely of CORPSES. That is the shadow of the Erdtree.

Agreed! To be fair tho, it could be possible that Angstrom has become incapable of recognizing he is in the wrong, because of the weight of the trauma he now lives with. This, of course has no impact on how justifiable Mark’s choice was. But I think that the question of whether Angstrom is truly ‘evil’ or not is interesting. Cuz while is actions are clearly reprehensible, it’s also clear that there is a reason behind his deep pain, and his hatred towards the ‘Evil Marks’ is justifiable.
@ramboitaliano1776Ай бұрын
@@mediumbeetle9964 but through the multiple realities he goes to the one realty where mark is lawful good and angstrom is considered that realty’s evil version especially after Debbie is speaking with him and he has the mini mental breakdown when he knows he’s right but his pride steps in because he wants retribution. Because he entered that realty and continued to push mark and even have him contemplate not holding back, basically if angstrom didn’t go back to that realty he would still be alive and mark wouldn’t be scarred from killing him even though it was the right thing to do in the moment. Sorta like when you have to use self defense sure it’s the right thing to do if you’re protecting someone or yourself and unfortunately end a criminal’s life, it’s still going to bear weight on your psyche and your soul.
@mediumbeetle9964Ай бұрын
@@ramboitaliano1776 LMFAOOO ya know, I totally forgot that Angrstom has the ability to travel to literally any other dimension where Mark is ACTUALLY evil. That's friggin hilarious, very good point! And yeah, I'm not tryna deny that this would definitely impact Mark's psyche, I just think he should have been given the capacity to see the difference between what he did and what his father has done.
@bubblegodanimation4915Ай бұрын
I think he was referring to the fact that mark feels that he went too far.
@mediumbeetle9964Ай бұрын
He superimposes this feeling onto Marc, to an irrational extent. When Cecil tells Mark he’s not like his father, Mark says ‘you weren’t there’ as if he truly enjoyed the kill, or did for fun; like it wasn’t necessary. This felt out of place when I heard it, and the extent that this internal conflict plays in the episode only made sense to me after hearing Mr. Racioppa’s views. In other words, Simon thinks Mark went too far and that he’s become his father, and therefore that’s what Mark thinks as well.
@magmamaze69Ай бұрын
@@mediumbeetle9964 I wouldn't say he enjoyed killing and this is totally a justifiable kill, but I think that is because how gruesome the kill was. It wasn't a quick kill just made to end his life. He beat him to death. Even saying he wanted to kill him rather than he had to. I am totally aware this could just be Mark thinking he did some horrible action just because he killed and discredit made his own motivations and the position he was in but honestly it makes sense to why Mark would feel that way in a narrative context. He tries to separate himself from his father so much that he views justifiable kills as his father in of itself. Just due to the bloodshed. He just isn't someone who handles killing well (yet) so he truly believes it is comparable. As he was reminded of his father despite being in completely different circumstances. At least that's what I think he meant
@mediumbeetle9964Ай бұрын
I think you’re totally right, but I think you give Mr. Racioppa more credit than he deserves. If he didn’t make the false claim about Mark being made aware of his Evil selves then, I’d be inclined to agree that he simply misspoke. But if Mr. Racioppa believes this false info is actually in the show, then everything else he says makes more sense. It would make a lot more sense for Mark to feel much more devastated by his actions, knowing how close he is to being thing he despises most, feeling as if the line between himself and him in the other dimensions grew thinner after killing Angstrom. But if ‘Angstrom winning’ is based around false info, then this level of regret is unwarranted.

Both in the comics and animated show. Mark is literally fighting for his mother's life every possible moment while Angstrom(Sorry if i spell the name incorrectly) is being an asshole to the prime universe mark even though he just experience that the multiverse theory is true. Yet, he choose to pick on prime universe mark. Is he (sorry my French) retarded?

I bet my soul that if Angstrom "violated" Debbie in the most despicable way possible while a baby Oliver watches unable to stop him. Even without that dark part, Mark would still have the justification to kill this irredeemable madman
