It's a case of the writers writing themselves into a corner. TTM was still alive in the WC and because of that they had to modify the events in order to maintain the status of future events. On top of that we had a lot of pointless deaths and fake out ones to the point it felt oversaturated.

Yeppp, thats the thing, I'm getting tired of the fakeouts. Honestly this recent Mosquito Girl revival crossed the line for me, and am currently processing my thoughts on that ordeal into a well thought out argument. It feels like all of a sudden Murata is trying to avoid death as much as possible and its getting on my dam nerves.

The Mosquito Girl one actually drove me nuts hahaha. She was too dead to bring back. I promise I will break down my frustration in a future video to make it clear why I think that choice is so detrimental to the entirety of the series.

They want to transform One Punch into something similar to “Dragon Ball”, the Fanbase, ONE and Murata created this, but you can also notice this “inconsistency” in the heroes' fight against Melzargard during the Boros invasion, it is surreal to think that Aliens with forces unknowns and a LONG experience were humiliated haha... It's even possible to question Garou's rematch against Silverfang. Tanktop made a mistake thinking he was an S-class hero, he was punished but will receive a second chance, in general that's what people like, don't you agree? People always want a second chance even if they themselves have made terrible mistakes (Garou is an example, he did everything wrong and today he lives as if nothing had happened simply because the fanbase likes him). I thought the Melzargard fight was fine, showed how strong the S class really was, Silverfang taking a direct hit to the chest without repercussion was a bit silly, considering what happened to Iairon, but at the same time made sense considering where silverfang is ranked. And idgaf what people like, fan service has often lead to weaker stories. If you show TTM looking like a squeezed orange and then have him be eaten, follow thru.

Garou, regardless of his claim to be a monster, has helped civilians on a number of occasions. He helped Metal Bat fight the centipede, yes he ended up killing everyone, but since they had the time reverse thing happen, no harm no foul. He was never truly a monster. I never expected him to die. O wait lol during the Orochi fight when he gets a hole thru his chest…lol

@@mediumbeetle9964 When I first saw the fight against Melzargard I thought it was the most boring fight of the season hahaha. I think using one of the strongest fighters of the "dark matter thieves" who are the "dominators of the universe" was a bit much, but it's ok it showed that Silverferg is super resistant and that metalbat and puripuriprisoner have super super strength or Melzargard and the "dark matter thieves" were not as strong as they appeared.

@@nicolasborges7905 lol that's actually pretty valid, he did get whooped sorta easily considering how much he hyped himself up, but his powers did allow us to see that regardless of the disadvantage of the S class's type of skills, they were able to figure out a way to take him down. I think as a villain yeah, he was a letdown, but as a tool to show us what the S class was all about, he was effective.

I think that to see deaths we'll have to wait until we reach the ones in the webcomic, if someone dies there is probable that we will see it in the manga. Anyway the robot corporation is currently steam rolling through the heroes so i think someone might be killed

Just a cheap tactic for shock value, if he wasn't gonna die there was no need to make the scene a grusome. Back when it happend everyone was in shock, like this could've changed the manga in a big way as to make it that everyone was truly in danger and nothing was set and stone just because it happened in the Webcomic. But then again just a fake out death. But honestly this wasn't the worse. Nichirin should've died.

I disagree here. No S class heroes should be straight up 'killed'. Though tank top master should have had some of his disciples killed. Like even tank top girl. Then, we could have an arc about Tank Top's Master faith wavering for the tank top.

@@mediumbeetle9964 I agree only on the part where you said that they (authors/editors, whoever is writing this shit) shouldn't lead them to these situations if, afterwards, they are gonna be 'just joking, he is fine'. The scene would be rewritten as such: TTM almost gets caught by Gums while being distracted fighting other lower monster (background even the tank top army is fighting) , then one of the tank top member sacrifices himself. This would have been more impactful than a no name sword master organization dying because we have been knowing the tank top army from very long ago, while the sword master organization was literally shown before the MA raid. Atomic doesn't need any 'friends' to be sacrified in the battle because he was already humiliated by Black Sperm during the battle, and then he would have been humiliated more by Garou's speech if they didn't butcher Garou's final part as well.

you dont understand the true power of tanktop it gives protection against everything even death itself and honestly maybe murata went crazy with showing how strong cadre were and forgot that ttm is alive in webcomic xd if he killed ttm they would need to rewrite many things from webcomic and ttm is actually a cool guy who is like punching bag to show powerful oppoents and the all other s class are xd maybe he will get a cool powerup for the future
