Awful one- handed full court pass by Mabry, followed by a rushed 3, several bad 3pt attempts when 2pts + a defensive stop keeps you in striking range of a win, and generally poor decision making on offense throughout the final 5 minutes of the game hurt the Sky. You can't survive 5 minutes of mental errors in close games, as a young team or veteran team. It's impossible, unless you've got a Steph or KD type scorer in the game that the whole team defers to in crunch time. Chicago doesn't have that, and Seattle was determined to NOT give Mabry room to get clean looks. Chicago needs a pure PG who's effective running 2-man game for easy & efficient buckets. I've heard a lot of NBA players diss CP3, but that's exactly what this sky team needs. Dana is not that kinda player. Her thought process is not on that level because she really wants to get buckets by herself. Maybe Kamilla will settle them down? Angel is experiencing the difficulty I saw her experiencing, due to her preference for shooting it from a low release point. She's a long limb 6'3" player, but her release point makes her 5'7". Still, they're doing a good job staying in striking range. Angel needs a midrange floater with both hands because it forces shot blockers to step away from the rim, while her momentum should allow her to get superior put back positioning. It's a work in progress, but that PG position is a huge void, closing out games.

They rarely feed Angel the ball. Most of the time they’ll ignore her.

Kamilla could genuinely not take a shot and still be a massive difference maker for this Sky team.

The Sky is entering period of about winning at a .650 to .750 level. Cardoso should play 20 to 25 minutes per game. Dana was just tired.

This loss was because TSPOON WAS getting the court rust off Turner and Harrison for the near future; and their shooting was horrible. Mabrey had an off night; but TSPOON is preparing her team for the long haul and not being forced to bring Cardoso back to fast. She is definitely strengthening the front court. Diamond is a fireblanklet on defense.

Skylar is a great player. She got her rhythm back. I can't wait till KC gets back. Sky will start to improve each game. Sky must fix the turnovers. Spot work read passes better, be fearless and play ball. They would be in practice playing against an NBA team, to get comfortable with being pushed around so they learn to do better.

Skylar, Ezi (The queen of blocks), and Jewel had a great game for the Storm. The Sky struggled with turnovers and lack of boxing out. I think the Sky got intimated by size and let the Storm dictate pace. The game came back within reach, but turnovers cost us. Marina threw it away at a very critical point and the last shots (all 3's) taken by the Sky were not necessary. I am not sure why she sat so much in the 3rd. T-Spoon doesn't strike me as the type to "punish" a player for no reason/something small. Diamond had an off game, she only really showed up in the 4th. Angel did make some rookie mistakes, but they were her first, and I think she will learn and she had good hustle. Chen was very agile and was able to get around the big's of the Storm. Right now based on current play style I want to see Angel, Dana, Chen, Kamilla, and Marina starting. Diamond and Izzy coming in for the big's and Allen should be 6 man for the guards in my opinion, and Williams after that. They have to box out more.
