Saw Gino in 1978 in Norfolk, VA at the now defunct Arena. Bruce Hornsby and the Range opened for him. The crowd went wild 😜. Then Gino came out in that sexy white whatever and I fell in love with him. There is simply no one like this man. The mold was broken after Gino was born. I’m 2 years younger than Gino. My one wish is finally to meet the man of my dreams.

Not sure if there could be another WR any time In the future of time like there was no WR any time past in history Weathering is read for natural forms Weather Reporting is heard for stone henging Nothing narrates Stone henges Nothing sounds beyond weather report Voyages beyond weather Into the space Voice in the vacume in stellar spaces Travels in inter stellar spaceships Into infinite verses of sounds Unspoken and unheard Like none could say Mozart or Bach or even Bethovan the deaf that saw the Music dance That sound that's never been in the Air As the Sounds of dance That sound tuned, heard and felt By you and me Played by the God Christened Weather That only the almighty can report After the Weather Report Now it can be said How does the unheard sounds Sounds only like Weather Report in Procession or through a night passage Opening into Black market and closing back to HEAVY WEATHER AS ALLMIGHTY ALL WEATHER THAT NEVER WEATHERS BUT SHAPES UP FOR EVER Like TRINITIES of Music In the EAST OR WEST Down in the South or up in the North Direction is Divine But the boundary is boundless The class that ever reports Weather so enthralling

Listened early to Gino in my age and got moved by the music, voice, drumming.. theme, compositions with intense! He was maybe to much in "musicality" than white dressed Elvis and Tom Jones. He has much more lovely voice than both of them.

Saw him in concert here in Texas last month, only because someone offered me a free ticket; to be honest, I hadn't thought of Gino in many, many years. Boy, was I surprised! His voice, his band, his songs, his energy, all impressive! Since then I can't stop watching videos of him. The crowd loved him. His voice is really at the top of the heap.

Gino opened facing him because he started musically as a drummer. He loved the opening drum beats. He’s had many great drummers in his bands. He often turned around to them when he liked the drumming.

Amazing that marks drum fills are quite similar to those he used with Jethro Tull on the 1980 “A” tour. Especially the flam fill at 5:34. If you want to hear a monster drum solo, listen to his solo at the end of “uniform” from the LA concert.
