First, stats only tell you what happened-they do not inform you as to the whys and hows. Just so you know. Texas has lost something like 11 or 12 games the last 3 years-and there is a reason for that. Coaching is the greatest difference-maker in sports. Talent is important but even elite talent that is poorly coached does not stand much of a chance against average talent that is well-coached. Michigan and Texas have similar player physical talent levels. Michigan has excellent to elite coaching and Texas is average to mediocre. Hence, Michigan has only lost 3 games the past three years.
