Miami has probably the best D line in football. Ward 3770,Martinez 1100 will start because Fletcher is healing from an injury ,X 1200,George 860,Brown 800 yards and an offensive line ranked in the top ten. 3 freshman All American players with ACC defensive freshman of the year. Florida isn’t even close to Miami’s numbers.

Frank Ladsen transfered because he wasn't good enough to get on the field. Same at Clemson before Miami. The fact that he transfered to UMass shows it was not a significant loss. Who you should have mentioned is WR Colby Young, who transferred to Georgia. Jaden Wayne couldn't put on enough weight to play at Miami and was not a significant loss either. Nyjalik Kelly was a much bigger loss than Jaden Wayne. This prediction is basic because your knowledge about each team seems limited. Meh. Head coaches with a .503 career winning percentage after 13 seasons don't usually inspire that much dread. And even a talented QB with a history of being a little T.O. prone, who will also be making his first start for UM in an environment unlike anything he will ever see again doesn't scare me a great deal either. Admittedly, UM does have a promising DL and the OL has a lot of pieces. And TBH, If UF can't establish decent PP or run blocking, it could get ugly in a hurry - just don't hold their breath on that one. PFF has this UF OL as the tenth best in the country - my advice is don't count your QB pressures 'til they hatch. Also, by any measure, the UM secondary was straight-up putrid in the spring game. I'd definitely hold off on the "UM has a better defense" stuff for now. When they prove it, I'll hand out kudos - until then, not so much. FTR, this season is a huge mountain to climb for UF, and a7-5 or 8-4 finish would be a solid record against this schedule for this rebuilding UF squad. To put things in perspective, in comparison to the cream of UF's schedule, the canes are a foothill at best. Not a slam, just a fact. IMHO, UM goes something like 8-4 or 9-3 in a dead/dying conference, while UF finds a way to scratch and claw its way to a bowl game and a winning record. I don't make specific game predictions this far out, but I don't believe anyone in Gainesville is quaking in his boots over facing Miami - especially at home. For now, I do lean toward Mario coaching himself to a .500 career record in the Swamp on 8/31.GG! Beat Miami!
