This was the first time I viewed one of your videos, very nicely done. Cicily Rigdon was a very good friend of mine. I met her briefly while I was an attractions host on the"West side" and University Leader. during Disneylands 25th anniversary. She was fully responsible at that time for the Ambassador program. I was able to travel internationally with here for a few years when I was working for various Anaheim hotels in sales and marketing and we participated in many tourism campaigns with the Anaheim Tourism Bureau promoting Disneyland and the area throughout Australia, and New Zealand, A Disneyland treasure to ber sure her stories and recollections of Walt were all priceless. I am forwarding your video to one of her daughters to insure they see it. Cicily so enjoyed telling the story that she had applied initially for a job at Disneyland shortly after it opened and was rejected, not once but four times, then on the fifth time she finally got a job. She was so excited on the drive home that she accidentally drove through the garage doorl. Her sense of humor was remarkable. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

So wonderful that you got to see him many times. Richard Sherman was who I wanted to meet more than anyone else in the world. I feel very blessed to be a friend of Leonard Maltin’s daughter Jessie and she always kept me updated on how he was doing. I was really hoping that I’d get to see him while he was still here, but I’m glad he lived a long life at almost 96. I loved that Leonard and Jessie Maltin did a podcast with him back in 2016. I hope to meet Karen Dotrice sometime soon and ask her about Richard.

This is awesome! I watch "Wheel" all the time and was researching Jim recently since I love voiceover so much. I didn't know he was in the Monsters Inc. rides, too; that's so cool! Jim mentioned the Haunted Mansion, which reminded me: Have you ever considered interviewing Corey Burton? Although Corey gives limited interviews, he loves talking to people who are passionate about Disney history and have done their research, both of which you do a great job of highlighting. (I run a fanpage dedicated to Corey on Twitter/X, which is how I know of his preferences--not to brag, but I do my research, too.)🙂
@KeepingtheMagicAliveАй бұрын
I'm glad you learned something about Jim! Voice over talent is certainly a very important part of shows! I always loved the recording sessions back when I worked for Disney. Corey would probably make a great interview - he's probably the most versatile voice over actor there is. I'm not sure how to get in touch with him. Maybe it can happen sometime. I sure appreciate your compliments and your kind words! Thank you for writing!

The rarest voice of Mickey might be Stan Freberg - who provided Mickey's voice on a book on record character album in the 50's "Mickey Mouse's Birthday Party". Along for the ride were Clarence Nash, Pinto Colvig, and June Forray

I bet this is the same or similar show they did at the 1988 All Star Game in Cincinnati (probably branded for WDW) A great way to start the season and it likely didn't cost much. It doesn't take very much thought to see how many of the costs for that production could have been offset by tax deductions.

Duffy, otters from Finding Dory, characters from the Country Bear Jamboree, Winnie the Pooh Ufufi, a Big Bad Wolf, Figment from Disney World and just a huge variety. Maybe I'll put them all together sometime and talk about them. I never even thought someone would be interested in something like that.

You’re a doll it’s not a Charlotte Clark it was made by Hermann in Germany a lot of people mistaken this item for a steiff mickey mouse which it is not I’ve been collecting 40 years and have one of the largest prewar 1930s mickey mouse collections in the world. It was distributed through George Botgfeldt in New York he had his own toy company line that he would apply to toys that were exported the nifty line there was no toys being manufactured by nifty just items he would get from certain exports he would put nifty toys on as he would be sold distributor of certain items.The first Mickey Mouse doll was manufactured by the Dean’s rag book company of London England they applied for a patent in 1929 Disney did not like their designer he and his brother Roy rejected many of the dolls being made by other companies they wanted companies to produce mickey mouse in the Charlotte Clark design which was made available to the public by a McCall’s pattern of the doll . So steiff and Hermann needle craft and Knickerbocker were using the design premise of Charlotte Clark

Hi! I just wanted to ask if you know anything about this particular Mickey Mouse plush that I have, since you seem like you know a lot. If you don’t know anything, I’m probably asking something completely random to the wrong person. Though I thought it would be worth a try since curiosity has been inside me for a LONG time. So I got this Mickey Mouse plush that came from EBay. The plush stands around 16 inches tall and is in a sitting position. The thing that made me interested is that the plush does not look like your regular vintage Mickey plush. When I got to see it in person, the plush has white fluffy hands, hard plastic yellow buttons with outlines on his pants, which are darkish red. He has soft shoes, and the face.. is like sort of a very bright white but a bit of peach-colour to it. Though looking at it far away, the face looks white. The plush does not have hard plastic eyes and instead are patched on (or stitched on) and the plush has standing out eyebrows. I went to look on the tag of the plush, it’s located under his right arm. On the arm it says “Euro Disney” on it. I’m assuming that Euro Disney is Disneyland Paris. The tag is like a flap thingy and the plush actually appears to be Made in France. And on the other side of the tag, it says that the manufacturer of the plush is named “Anima” not sure if it’s actually what it says because it’s in a curly writing of some sort, but that’s what I assume it is. It says Anima, with a orange animal paw next to it. I decided to search online about the plush, and that’s where the challenge came in. I search it with every detail of it I know, and NOTHING. No results related to the plush. No photos, nothing. When it was still on sale, I Google reversed the image and there appears to be none of it, nothing related. It’s been on me for a while now, and I’m just curious if it really did come from Disneyland. I thought that it cannot be an off brand, since the plush was licensed by Disney, and it looked too good to be off brand. But I’m just curious about the year of when this plush was on sale and if any other plushies of it are out there. If you don’t know anything, I’m sorry. But I’m wondering if you do, thanks.
@KeepingtheMagicAlive7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I'm not sure, but yes, Euro Disney eventually became Disneyland Paris. It opened in 1992 and changed its name to Disneyland Paris in 1994. So it's probably safe to assume your doll as crated between '92 and '94. Wish I could be more help.
