My memories of Richard M. Sherman

Disney Legend hardly is enough to describe Richard M. Sherman, who with his brother Robert B. Sherman, wrote some of Disney's best classic songs! It's a Small World, the music of Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, The Tiki Room, and so much more. Richard passed away today at the age of 95. I will cherish the memories of my times with him.

So wonderful that you got to see him many times. Richard Sherman was who I wanted to meet more than anyone else in the world. I feel very blessed to be a friend of Leonard Maltin’s daughter Jessie and she always kept me updated on how he was doing. I was really hoping that I’d get to see him while he was still here, but I’m glad he lived a long life at almost 96. I loved that Leonard and Jessie Maltin did a podcast with him back in 2016. I hope to meet Karen Dotrice sometime soon and ask her about Richard.

This was news to me, but I'm glad I found out from "Keeping The Magic Alive". The Sherman Brothers' songs are timeless, and more people will continue to learn about their work because of this channel. Wonderful tribute. RIP Richard. 💔
