Thrones and Liberty crafting sucks! You need lithographs for blue gear or higher but there’s no way to get those except from auction that the dev placed in there. Because it’s can’t be acquired in game!(That I cannot find also googled searched no thread on how to acquire blue and epic lithograph) Also not to mention it cost premium currencies and most of them costing around $300 real money to get from action depending on what you want!

I'd like to give some insight into the renown heart system. You can talk to them to get the interaction you want. If you feel like you were doing them just to get them done and speeding through them, then that's what you chose to do. There's an amazing game here for those who slow down, look around, read, and explore.

okay, screw you for using GW1 music in the intro, now i gotta go install it again and dig my hands back into the game xD first game i genuinely got addicted to, both GW1 and 2. Jokes aside, i absolutely love this game. Just logged out for the day after my ten billionth basegame main story finish. gonna focus on 100%ing the maps now and then get to living world season 1... One thing i like is that the game offers both a classic tap targeting system or a more "modernized" action cam type camera/combat mode like you might know from skyrim and so on, where you aim via reticle, driving home the fact this game is all about player freedom even more.

i played 30 hours as a f2p and what made me uninstall was the 10HR Raptor mount, i enjoyed every hour I played, but I can't justify spending 25 dollars(which is equivalent to about a week worths of food in mycountry) for a game I would only play for about an hour or three every weekend..... and after spending 10 hours with the raptor around the world, walking through it after felt such a slog. I love the game, hopefully they add a f2p mount in the future

You have so much to do in the game already. You won't finish any of the quest before a new DLc or Roadmap. Besides this is the Most modern Cross play MMO without a monthly pay (besides the PS Plus) but yeah. Plus you can be any class. and play it any way you want. You won't be stuck to a class.

I’m fine with pay to win but the combat isn’t very fluid atleast the melee. Imo

Throne and liberty blows New Word away on the steam charts....it isnt even close.

Each race has its own stunning home city with a bank, trading post, crafting stations, waypoints, POI's, vistas and master points (you will come back for when you begin your masteries at level 80).

Note: the initial (tutorial) combat quest (Shamoor, for humans) is the beginning of your personal story. The first thing you do (for each race) is the beginning of your personal story. You will meet and quest with Captain Thackery again (each ten levels) as you continue to quest.

I always prefer the narrative approach where you are part of the world, but it doesn't necessarily revolve around you. The trend for newer MMOs (and RPGs) seems like its to make you the chosen one, and to ignore most everything else that isn't related to what YOU are doing. But even when that's the case you'll find details like these when you take the time to look around. As someone who has dabbled in level design it taught me to respect the effort put in by developers. There is SO MUCH in these games that is overlooked by players rushing about to get to the next thing, so its very satisfying to see someone appreciate the little details. The best feature of LOTRO really is its amazing gameworld, and it's well worth playing even casually just to observe what they've created here.

When I was a kid most of my friends were also into Runescape. Similarly to your own experience, my parents didn't want to pay for membership so I ended up with a copy of Guild Wars. A stroke of luck I think, because this remains one of my favorite games and probably the best experience I've ever had playing an online game. I think Runescape was more popular back in school beause of the social element, and the fact that it was easy to understand. I remember bumbling around in Guild Wars as a kid, barely understanding what I was doing but somehow managing to complete the game. Recently after stumbling across videos like yours I've gotten back into the game, playing it from start to finish beginning with Prophecy. With the games' 20th anniversary coming up and considering the milestone its possible we might get a new update. For a nearly 20 year old game its impressive how unique it still is, I cannot really name a game like it. But also considering its age, if anyone wanted to give it a try I recommend you do it now while the game is still available. The Devs more or less said it would be up indefinitely because the hosting costs are negligable, but while it would break my heart it's not inconceivable that the game will be shut down eventually.

Underwater diving content, and gliding/flying mount like guildwar 2 would be awesome. Also skill cape like RuneScape for the profession to show off. A new weapon I want dual blades as next weapon. And for the love of god as a barber I’m sick of my trash as hair style.

If picking on quality and meaning, nothing is beating FFXIV since like 2015.
