Thanks for the video! I followed your suggestions and guides and everything worked great. I linked to your video on my rating review of the design too :)

Don't think so :( but you can grab a pack of them very cheap 😀

creality has really bad prints i sold my printer for a bambulab x1c and will not turn back even with the new restrictions. bambulab has always been a close environment, no open source crap.

Worked perfectly. Okay, Wireframe is a nightmare on complex models, but this is a fantastic way to get results that satisfies a perfectionist like me. Thanks.

@@FarmerHotdog Sure, but requiring authorization for things, and potentially collecting my data, including prints, and possibly selling it is terrible, which is why I got an Ender 3 Pro since it is open source

@@VSS-Vintorez Potentially being the operative word. The security issues are real but the developments are worth keeping an eye on. Bambu stands to lose a ton of business if they don't keep customers happy.

Could it be that the first one from "NeedItMakeIT" wasn't seated properly? There are two little guidepins, that need sit correctly when mounting inside the "poop-shute". On the video it looks like, it wasn't properly seated. I saw your video, made it from the remixed version (fixed hight P1s), cleaned around the guidepins and all that, and mine was too low. I then printed a 1mm shim, to get it in to funcional hight :-) I could be wrong, but... Nice video 🙂
@LayerLabAustraliaКүн бұрын
Not sure about the nozel wipers he used... But I know what you mean about those pins. I think one of them actually fell off on the final version but didn't seem to affect it. There appears to be tolerance differences between machines, so i guess it isn't a one size fits all 😢

I'd rather shove a hot nozzle up my #$ than buy a bambu printer especially after the way they just decided that you don't own your printer anymore.

suddenly new update appears...
@markvk422 күн бұрын
Well, ive now changed my mind. No company is going to get away with telling me that I have GOT TO connect my printer to the cloud, Bambu have just shot themselves in the foot BIG TIME! This whole firmware update smacks of leading people down the road of a subscription based user service, I dont mind if they want to offer the option to use it, but from what i can see, this is a slippery slope to giving bambu total control of a product that i own. Back to creality and Rat Rig.

Do NOT purchase a Bambu printer unless they reverse course on their new firmware update which limits 3rd party software and further locks you into their ecosystem. What's next "Sorry, you are not using Bambu approved filament...cancelling print job" or "This object is not approved...cancelling print"
@LayerLabAustraliaКүн бұрын
At this stage its just speculation as to what they are going to do in the long run. Hopefully they don't go down that route!
@RoonDawg42 күн бұрын
Bet you wish you switched to something else other than Bambu now they are locking you down and in the future printing will be a subscription on Bambu
@NMHC1978Күн бұрын
i do not think there will be a subscription system. they are protecting against hacking and they need it, alreaday some stole the security keys thru hacking, and also bambulab has always been a closed system, no open source crap
@Alpha-lc8zu2 күн бұрын
Hmm well that see what he thinks know with the changes form bambulab.
@NMHC1978Күн бұрын
i realy have no rpoblems with it ... someone already stole the security keys thru hcking. So it is time they restrict access. Bambulab has always been a closed system. Bambulab has been started with DJI engineers, and everyone nows DJI is also a closed system

This is a nice upgrade. Might have to try it, but the problem for me is that it oozes a little bit of filament as it heats up to do the purge line. I want some help to add a nozzle wipe to the g-code after the purge line is done, right before it starts printing.

I have tested several wipers but simply replacing the 4mm PTFE tube on the original wiper with a 6mm silicone tube works best for me. Since then never had any problems on my x1c

And Bambu Labs just launched an attack against Panda Touch and Orca Slicer users! They're pushing an update that will make all third party accessories worth anything unusable and BLATANTLY lying about it! They try to bury Panda Touch not working anymore, and are SHOCKED people think they are lying. They really think we're stupid!

I just wish BambuLabs would allow root access. It's the only reason I won't buy one. I'm not spending that kind of cash and being denied access to the firmware. If you don't care about that they are the current best choice on the market. My CR10S I got 7 years ago is still going strong, but it has absolutely been a headache at times. My K1C has been absolutely flawless and has been a workhorse from day one. I really hope BL goes open-source one day. What they absolutely deserve credit for is forcing the FDM 3D printing industry forward. It was getting incredibly stagnant as far as prebuilts went.

I recently switched from an Ender 3v2 to an A1, and it was wonderful for a while. But I'm regretting it hard now, since they've just announced they're gonne cut OrcaSlicer and other slicers out of their little closed ecosystem. I'm just waiting for someone else like Creality to launch a reasonably priced AMS lite alternative to ditch Bambu forever (the K2 is still a bit out of my range).

The customer service [ technical support ]of this company Bambulab is very bad. The printer works ok but if you need help, you are pretty much on your own. They have a chat online but is useless, is just to tell you to create a ticket. AND To create a ticket you need to enter so much info that you will give up before you finished [ not to mention pictures ].

Do you actually need to edit the start gcode or also will work with the default one.

@LayerLabAustralia5 күн бұрын
Sometimes I get cuts/scrapes on my hands, doesn't look too nice up close on camera 😆 I've seen some pretty nasty hands in 3d printer videos, the aim is for the gloves to make it a bit less distracting 👌

Where can we buy the complete kit?
@LayerLabAustralia5 күн бұрын
Not sure if there is a kit you can buy anywhere, but really the only thing you should need to buy is the A1 rubber scrubber. You should be able to find the two extra screws in the spare parts box that came with your printer :)
