I am curious about the confused/grimace/frown expression and timing/situation. It makes sense that that implies strength when it is conscious, deliberate and intentional such as after some time and making a big river bet. But when mentioned doing this reflexively and briefly, such as immediately after a card comes, when, as mentioned this is a natural perhaps unconscious behavior, will that now imply honesty (relaxed when strong) and weak (sad) about not getting an improvement? Or is that subterfuge baked in as well instantly? What would be more typical?

*Ambition* Ambition is when the casino pays off a little, so you start laying down more cash for the house to take over time. It’s better if you want to play for a time, but worse in the long run. It’s good to view the country as a casino because then you can see the general layout. Really, there is only a win if you run with it or have a system that guarantees that you can. Some people spend years in the gift shop or just watching the lights. Eventually, yeah. Hint* You can change your game. Then you are guaranteed to lose because of odds.

To combat this, pretend to look at your cards a few times. Give inconsistent fake tells to create confusion and take away their confidence. I hate dudes acting slow trying to get read on players behind. Thays when i like to mess around with their head.

FBI forensic analysts call this "deceptive behavior". When your non-verbal actions do not line up with your statements (or in this case, with your chip actions).

I have a simple philosophy at the table... "Fear the speech." It's almost never a bluff when someone gives you those kinds of speeches. And you usually know if it's a genuine verbal reaction vs. a manufactured statement.

Wha"t really struck me at the time was Pearson's deliberate misinterpretation of the question "what do you have" which, with the intonation is clearly about the hand not the stack. That was unusual and seemed to be he was trying to appear more confident by making a joke. Antonius definitely clocked it, didn't bite and I'd suggest it helped him. Act strong...

Suggesting that if they are out in the streets fighting, they may be part of the problem, is correct. But they will never get that. Many of these folks are asked (for example), You are chanting "From the river to the sea." "What river and what sea are you referring to?" And they have no idea. Many examples like this. Your response in regards to "Stick to Poker", should be along the lines of "Exactly! I will stick to poker, if you will stick to your day job, if you have one." Yet, they will not even get that.

I know about this one and sometimes use it to slow play good hands. Then I over act like I have a strong hand. I'll do other stuff like ask someone how many chips they have left. Love using psychology in poker. Depending on the player I've told them, "you should fold" people hate being told what to do. One of the things I do is practice looking at my hands. I deal myself two cards, then carefully mind my actions and look at my cards the same way then count to 4 and put them down slowly making sure I am very robotic about my movements. Humans observe a lot more than they can consciously say, so the gut feeling comes in. I'll occasionally bluff using a microexpression. I'll have 67o and give a micro smile. Is anyone actually looking at me? I don't know but I will play the part.

The opposite is actually true. When a person has a strong hand they can barely believe their eyes and so do a quick re-check. Weak cards are easily identifiable and hardly worth an extended look.
