Feed Salone indeed! Agriculture is 55 percent of our economy. If executed well, agriculture can meet 100 percent of our food needs AND be a top export for us. We can be the bread basket of West Africa. Let's use this ECOWAS market like it was intended (to facilitate trade amongst each other and have cheap transport costs since we're so close together)

President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, has announced 50 million Yuan (about US$7 million) in Economic and Technical Assistance and another 20 million Yuan (about US$2.7 million) debt cancelation for Sierra Leone during his bilateral meeting with President Bio in Beijing according to a statement from the State House Press Secretary, Keketoma Sandi The Chinese government will also provide 1,500 tonnes of food aid to #SierraLeone. The two Heads of State witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents between Tim Kabba and his Chinese counterpart on the Belt and Road Initiative, agriculture, and economic development programs.

Makes sense and I applaud him for this. If only he could stop all of the traveling overseas and focus on making this happen. He’s hired a competent foreign Minister who should be doing all of the traveling abroad whilst he( Mr. President) stays home to make sure his very ambitious plans are enacted. 5 years goes by really fast and this ought to be a legacy term for him. I hope he succeeds. A very patient and long suffering citizenry deserves it

No public transport. Just private car-centric. I wonder why plans for African cities keep ommitting this..

Good Points. I would guess that cost is an issue. Probably the cheapest public transport that a small city could strive for is buses? But then they would need to either contract with an existing bus company or create one themselves? As time goes on and our economies grow(hopefully) we can lobby our governments to start investing in passenger rail/subway systems. Even so called '3rd world' countries have cities with subway/rail - Bangkok, Thailand, Pyongyang, North Korea, etc

The agreement between the Government of Sierra Leone and TAF is to build 5,000 homes. This particular area in John Obey can only fit a little over 1,000 homes; thus, a new site will need to be chosen for the remaining 3,000 homes. Stay tuned to see where this new site will be as the Government of Sierra Leone is still accessing the best possible locations.

I think kroo Bay, pademba road prison will be a good place to fit in 400 houses , if we relocate the prison to 6 miles. And relocate every one to a safe place until kroo Bay is finish, as well susan Bay.
