Sarah! Such a great vocalist, musician and song writer. 😊

In this beautiful new song by Sarah Jarosz, I sense hopefulness shaded by sentimental resignation and the stones of regret. Thank you, Sarah Jarosz!❤ -Seeger

Thanks! Ever since I saw the KZbin of Sarah doing this with John Leventhal on the Telecaster two years ago, I can't get it out of my mind. Sarah Jarosz has an incredible collection of both covers and her own songs, and this one is near the top of the list for me. What a talented woman!

Agreed! This was an amazing rendition, and it was her show closer for her final set of the festival.

So appropriate to pay homage to a First Lady who helped hold together a shattered country in 1963 with her grace and dignity under circumstances that would break most of us. Thank you, Sarah, for this.

Good Lord, she is stunning. I can't wait to be the fan that sings her 'old material' when she sells big venues while the new fans wonder where 'that' came from. The most powerful octave on the planet. Also...capo'd octave is...well, I don't know what that is.

I've been listening to videos from the recent tour . . . playing with a band, I wonder what would happen if you filled out the sound with the addition of another instrument or two? Keyboard? Fiddle? Anyway, along with continued success in her remarkable career, I wish Sarah Jarosz the greatest happiness through her life and her creative work.
@ellisparrish50029 ай бұрын
She already killed her sound by hiring one dotard or another to bang on a kit while she lets autopilot sing while her drunk self attempts to forget who she is in favor of wishing she were Bob Dylan like every other boomer drunkard alive. Sierra Hull left Sarah in the dust.

She's done several covers that are here on KZbin,,, I'd love to see her release an album of covers.

Recently I have been listening a lot to "World on the Ground", which is pretty much a perfect album, IMHO. So I wondered, OK, what can Sarah Jarosz do next, after that??? Well, here's the answer. Utterly beautiful. As soon as I heard her say she was singing something new, and then heard a few notes, I could feel that this song would be really special. Glad to be living in a world that has Sarah Jarosz in it.

Seconding the comment that “World on the Ground” is a perfect album. Totally flawless. Not a skip on the entire album. Can’t wait for the new one!

@@aburtch Hello -- I have become utterly captivated by World on the Ground. I almost don't need to play the CD any more -- I can hear it all running through my head! Being old school, I have a collection of hundreds and hundreds of CDs -- I have never been so captivated by one particular album. Then again, I went back and listened to my copy of follow me down, which I believe was Sarah's second album, released in 2011, when she was about 20 years old. It strikes me as being pretty much just as good, or very close to it! What an amazing and wonderful musician . . . not to get too carried away, but I listen to a lot of classical music; I think the musical maturity of her first two albums puts her just about in a league with Mozart, who was writing remarkable symphonies in his late teens. I hope there will be very widespread appreciation, transcending particular genres, of the genius of musicians like Sarah Jarosz or Sierra Hull -- and there are others in the world of "Americana" -- I guess that's what you call it. Amazing creativity, and also virtuosity, for that matter. And as far as I know, lovely human beings, as well.
