How did you get the laser level up higher? Is there a tripod or some other device I can thread the laser level to?
@KimagineDIY18 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out with your question! Yes, I used a tripod (purchased separately) to raise the laser level. Most laser levels have a universal thread, so you can attach them to many types of tripods. In this case, I used a light tripod I already had and placed it on my bed to get the height I needed. The self-leveling feature of the laser makes it super versatile, even if the surface isn’t perfectly flat. I hope this helps, and feel free to share how your project goes-I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! You're absolutely right-two-panel sliding doors are typically the most common setup, especially in buildings like yours. I live in a warmer climate, and the three-panel doors are quite popular here, especially for homes, since they allow for larger openings and better airflow. How do you keep your nails so long doing DIY?

Thank you so much for watching and for your fun question! It really depends-sometimes I rock acrylics since they’re super durable and can handle all the DIY action. Honestly, it’s all about finding the balance between having fun with your style and getting those projects done! 💪✨ If you have any go-to nail tips, I’d love to hear them too!

Im on my own so cant afford new so id have to get something decent that lasts , hey its on me using it for now. Never no when 1 of my 4 adult kids will come home lol.

Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your story! 😊 I love that your dad taught you wallpapering-how special! You're absolutely right, peel-and-stick wallpaper has come a long way since the '80s. It’s much higher quality now and can look fantastic when applied right, even on textured walls. The flexible squeegee I used is actually a tool meant for cleaning glass doors and windows, but it worked wonders for this project! You can check out all the tools I used, including the squeegee, here 👉🏼 amzn.to/3FoF8wB (affiliate link). Good luck with your kitchen worktops-I'm sure they'll turn out amazing! And who knows, maybe one of your kids will come home and admire your hard work! 😄

Doing researching to cover my opened kitchen shelves. Can I use the Bestå hinge & Glassvik on my old non-Ikea cabinet? (The Glassvik is 2 cm taller with exact same width) 🙏🏻
@KimagineDIY2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out with your question! 😊 While the hinges and Glassvik doors are designed for IKEA Bestå cabinets, it’s definitely possible to use them on non-IKEA furniture with some adjustments. The main thing to check is whether your current cabinet can accommodate the hinge mechanism, and if the slightly taller Glassvik doors still allow proper alignment and opening clearance. You may need to reposition the hinge mounts to match up, but with a little creativity, it could work! Best of luck with your project-feel free to update us on how it goes! 😊

@KimagineDIY2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and reaching out with your question! I totally get what you’re saying-sometimes those IKEA drawers can feel a little off at first. A common reason for the slow or noisy drawer movement could be that the tracks need a bit of adjusting or some lubricant to help them slide more smoothly. You might want to double-check that the runners are perfectly aligned and make sure there’s no obstruction. I agree, the IKEA images can definitely be a challenge, but I’m so glad my video helped make the build a bit easier! 😊

Then at timestamp 3:27, there's a drawing that shows exactly how those plastic inserts hook into the rail, and observe how the cabinet easily fits into the rail.
