Woow! Nice , i want to learn that to ,but i think need to buy those kind of tools to make the project smooth and easy.

Having all the tools will make it easier, but it is still doable with a regular level instead of the laser level. Home Depot sells ready made wood French Cleats you can buy for $8 each. I also show how you can paint furniture without sanding & using a roller here: bit.ly/HowtoPaintFurnitureWithoutSanding

You have great skills. I wish i did. I am trying to hang a small wooden corner cabinet in a way that does not require me to drill one hole on each side of the cabinet and making a hole through the cabinet. It's tricky.

This is a great video with lots of detail! Thanks! I do have a question though…some videos I have seen have you drill straight through the cabinet and into the stud. The French cleat seems sturdier. Do you know how much weight your method can hold vs going cabinet to stud?

I'm truly grateful for you watching the video and sharing your feedback - thank you! 😊 Now, about your question on whether the French cleat is sturdier than the typical drilling-into-the-stud method, I must admit, I'm not a pro, so I can't give you a definitive answer. However, I can share that the French cleat has been doing a fantastic job supporting hefty gallons of laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach in my setup. Personally, it made hanging up the cabinet solo a breeze. I've even seen skilled carpenters use the French cleat for upper kitchen cabinets too. So, it seems like a versatile and reliable option. If you have more questions or need further info, feel free to reach out - I'm here to help with your DIY endeavors! 🛠️🏡🧺

Hi, did you do the french cleat because you didnt have two studs to screw in on each side of the cabinets? Thanks
@KimagineDIY11 ай бұрын
A big thank you for tuning into my video and for reaching out with your question - I really appreciate it! 😄 I went with the French cleat for a couple of key reasons: 1) I knew this was going to be a one-person project, and the traditional installation would typically require an extra pair of hands or two. 2) You're absolutely right. The spot where I wanted to mount my cabinet only had one stud to work with. The French cleat was the perfect solution for this situation. If you have more questions or need further info, feel free to ask. Happy DIY-ing! 🛠️🏡👍
