Also, did you use an instrument to measure the 50 degrees of incline?

Very clearly explained - well done! So you had to unclip/tie and retie/clip 5 times, meaning there are 7 anchor sets when the cables are down, correct?

Wow. Lottery systems sound like they would be beneficial but I bet some people will never get to see that because they can't get lucky enough to win seeing nature. Glad you got to go. Very beautiful place!

@kirkrozelle1900 Hi, Kirk This was my 5th year trying to get the permit ;) And What a pleasant surprise to meet you and your wife during TMB! When someone called my name at the water fountain, I couldn't believe it! After TMB we did the Matrerhorn hike ( not to the top but to the hut ) - that was the best day hike I ever experienced in my life! Video coming soon :) Again, really glad to see you ☺️

Looks amazing but definitely think I'll do this hike later in the season so I could safely go down the slide a few times! Always wanted to go into Tenaya Canyon after seeing it from the spine of Clouds Rest and from other trip reports looks like you can get a decent way into it before it starts becoming technical and dangerous.

Hi Jina, I tried to get this permit several times. Do you have to pick Kearsarge with "Whitney exit" right. I can get the kearsarge entry but even when I log on at 7am sharp, the exit permits are never available. Did you just get lucky or can you give me a secret how to get one? Lol I want to do that because I've never been over Forester Pass. Looked beautiful with so much running water. Thanks. ❤

Yes, this is a beautiful and relatively easy trek. No need to get any permits, as the area is totally deserted during the winter months. It is when the Desolation part in the D.W. name truly regains its meaning.

Who named it Cleo's bath? All the other names have changed, why not Cleo's bath? Pinecrest was the civilian campground. What about Dodge Ridge, the Bunny Hill. Camp McBride is not even a memory. So much for Yosemite Area Council.
