Why granular instead of liquid?
@PatThePoolBoy18 күн бұрын
In Australia liquid chlorine is pretty much 90% water. Also it’s easier to carry around and great for treating algae growth on benches. Let it sit for a few minutes and then give a heavy broom.

Which setting do you use on the pool pump, backwash, or filter, rinse??
@PatThePoolBoyАй бұрын
Use filter. Back wash and rinse are settings for cleaning out of your filter. If pool is really dirty, you can also vacuum to waste.

Serithly not the proper way to disperse the shock…mix with pool water in 5gal bucket pour in the deep end then other bags go in pool like liquid chlorine

How long can I expect the MX8 to last?
@PatThePoolBoy2 ай бұрын
Really depends on how it’s looked after. Chemicals do play a huge part on how quickly tracks and other parts deteriorate. But I’d say around 4-5 years

Will the floc take out the phosphates or do you need a phosphate remover first.
@PatThePoolBoy2 ай бұрын
Yes it will. It won’t remove 100% but gets rid of most of the phosphates. Unfortunately no matter how slowly we vacuum to waste we are gonna stir up some of the contaminants on the pool floor

@ChinaispartofTaiwan3 ай бұрын

@PatThePoolBoy2 ай бұрын
Sorry for missing this. The eixpert doesn’t have a procedure for “check cell”. Have you checked the cell to see if still producing. Make sure the middle plate on the cell hasn’t corroded away and check that the cables to the cell are all connected properly.

@@PatThePoolBoy yea, i looked again. sorry was tired lol. Why use powder chlorine instead of liquid? Also are those pools mostly phosphates or nitrates causing the greening? I don't work with green pools alot, I usually just maintain chem
@PatThePoolBoy3 ай бұрын
Easier to carry around granular is the main reason. Liquid chlorine here is pretty much 90% water. But depends on what I’m doing. And yes usually that, neglect or system malfunction can cause them to go green. Especially in summer we can get some pretty crazy weather events that can cause them to turn aswell.

Case by case situation really. If your just doing your regular maintenance and your on top of your pool I don’t see a need to do it every time. If you’re recovering a bad pool. Absolutely 👍
