Jessica Kimber, Your video looks great, but there are some issues with your channel. Due to these problems, each video gets a few views but then stops gaining more. I want every video on your channel to get 1k views or more. Can we set aside some time to talk about this?

Is this the very first cold call? Or is this a call with someone who has already indicated that they are considering your services?
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber Ай бұрын
It could be either, it depends on how far you get into the conversation. On the very first call there’s a good chance you’ll only get a brief conversation and book a follow up but if your client really needs help, or there’s a level of familiarity of your services (personal branding) and they know they’d want to work with you in the future, you could follow this through to the end on the very first call

Hi, I'm working as a Recruitment Coordinator at a cleaning company. I have to hire cleaners for various offices/clients. Is this role similar to recruitment consultant? I don't have any other HR working above me. I have to handle all recruitment related work. Can I see myself as a Recruitment consultant after few years in this given company situation.
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber Ай бұрын
That sounds like the role of an internal recruiter - often called a talent acquisition specialist. In recruitment you can do 360 (agency) or 180 (internal or just deliver within an agency). Your skills are highly transferable into an agency but the main difference would be you’d have sales targets to win new business in an agency. You wouldn’t just be given roles to work on, you’d need to sell and pitch your services and negotiate terms and then fill the roles. There’s pros and cons to both but one of the best things about becoming an agency recruitment consultant is the earning potential. If you don’t mind sales, find a great business who will train you on the sales side. Because you have 180 experience you’ll make placements quicker than others

Its like just leaving it down to chance. It also depends how far you are into your journey too because your first few months you’re in brand awareness phase so your goal shouldn’t be to convert, it should be to generate awareness around your services. Once people know who you are you post differently to then move them through the funnel - this is the consideration phase. I’m so glad you like the templates! Let me know how you get on with them and how much your impressions increase by 😄

Thank you for your feedback! Community groups can be used for all levels of role. They’re great for transactional because of speed. However, they’re also great for having a pool of people who you are consistently building trust and rapport with in a “non-salesy” way. Everyone will become a candidate at some point!

If you start talking emotions, i’m not taking the job. I just know that work culture is shit. What you do is a description of the job, what you’re ACTUALLY looking for in a candidate with clear cut language, a description of the job (and if you don’t know-ask someone. Don’t make shit up and pile the employees on with work later), and, most importantly, a fucking salary. I’m not applying unless I know I’m not going to waste my time. Most states regulate that you state the salary anyways, and I will be asking in the interview. If you don’t state it, I’m not accepting. Being straight up helps both of us and fosters better working environments. If you’re not getting applicants, it’s because you’re not paying enough. If you can’t afford to pay enough, make connections with people who will, linkedin is not the answer to all your problems. And if you still cant find anyone to work for your shitty wages, maybe the business should fail. That’s the free market for you.

If i get off at 5, i get off at 5. Stylists arent typically paid by the hour so that is a bad comparison. When someone else is making all the money off your work and they only want to give you the smallest amount possible and keep the most money, its hard to be motivated to do more. People work what they work based on how they're treated and how theyre paid. They aren't lazy, they are working their wage.
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber 9 ай бұрын
That’s a bad attitude in my opinion. I understand how they are treated and paid… But you said if you get off at 5, you get off at 5. Employers will always favour the employee who wants more - not even for the business - but for themselves.
@kitabootforever
@kitabootforever 9 ай бұрын
But if my work and extra work isn't paying off at the end of everything, why would I do extra just because my employer will like that? Doing more than required has to come with rewards and incentives. Especially if it's not a commission based job. Look at prep cooks. They don't get extra during the holidays even if they are doing waaayyyyyyy more than normal. They might get paid for being on the clock longer but they aren't getting a bonus because the company is getting significantly more than other times. They haven't given you any incentive to work instead of being home with your family when you would normally be home. Workers are people too. If I know my boss made 50,000 extra dollars just based on extra work that I did, I want a kick back from the profits. That's all anyone has been saying.
@zi6803
@zi6803 9 ай бұрын
She called people having an entitled and lazy mindset for doing their jobs 😂😂 She reminds me of a woman I knew that expected people to work into the night and not paying overtime. If those bosses would also share their profits with the employees maybe people would be willing to do that, but if you pay a minimum or average wage and keep all the profits all to yourself you are insane to expect people to bow down to you and be willing to give up their free time just so you make more money
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber 9 ай бұрын
You’re obviously not a recruiter. Recruiters make $1000s per placement and it’s a race against other agencies. If you go home just because your shift is over, you lose out because other agencies work on the role before you. So yes, they are paid - thousands of dollars.
@melizamenelly
@melizamenelly 9 ай бұрын
So this person believes people are lazy and entitled for working in the hours they are scheduled and employed to work in? Does she honestly believe they owe her free labor, how bout pay them overtime and then they will stay. This woman is entitled and delulu to boot
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber 9 ай бұрын
You’re obviously not a recruiter, because recruiters get paid thousands in commission to fill roles. And it’s speed to market. You can’t go home at 5pm and expect other agencies not to have worked it. You’ll get in the next day and you missed out. Your comment has no relevance to my target audience
@kitabootforever
@kitabootforever 9 ай бұрын
@@jessicakimbernot bashing you or anything but the snippet this video shows doesn't have that context. It just looks like she's saying folks are lazy for wanting to go home when they're scheduled to. Perhaps having that in the beginning would have helped. Also if that's the case then maybe those people need different work hours or perhaps there needs to be 2 shifts to accommodate all the later stuff.

I don't see what the issue is? I don't want to be promoted because i know i wouldn't be able to handle the stress of added responsibilities when my current level is enough to pay my bills. I work and do my job and get paid so i can enjoy my lifestyle. My boss isnt paying for my lifestyle, my boss is paying me for doing my job. Really confusing statements here 😅
@jessicakimber
@jessicakimber 9 ай бұрын
If you were an employer, would you prefer to pay a person out of your pocket who wants to go above and beyond and can handle anything; or would you rather pay someone who wants to do the job well enough to get paid and enjoy themselves?
@tyler4378
@tyler4378 9 ай бұрын
@@jessicakimber oh, I think I understand your point now. Although, for me personally, I'd prefer the latter. Someone who goes above and beyond deserves to be paid more, and they risk working themselves too hard for the sake of the job. I'd probably end up forcing them to take a day off lol. The latter, as long as the job's being done right, I don't mind if it's bare minimum. I won't have to worry about paying them extra, they'll be satisfied with what they have, and the job still gets done. If they underperform, they risk losing their job. That's my mentality at least. I always start out overachieving to be seen as valuable, then once I'm comfortable with my responsibilities, I'll slow down to the bare minimum. I'll do extra here and there, but not much else. It also becomes exhausting, being the reliable one all the time, and I hate to disappoint others. So it's a pretty sharp double edged sword.
