I had 5 of these 2 petrols and a diesel of the first gen. Then the v6 3.0 & 3.5 second gen. The first gen diesel was probably the best of the lot

I just bought a gen 4 2016 Montero Limited here in Mexico and I love it so far. The only thing I've noticed I will not enjoy is the fuel consumption 😂

Can i ask? How's the over all cabin isolation and road noise? It seems to me the engine is a little bit on the louder side (possible camshaft noise because of age?)

Do you think you would be able to fit an OM606 motor into this engine bay ? I have a NW pajero and it is tuned, very nice however I would like to look at engine swap when the motor is done and or sell and purchase an older paj with the ladderframe
