Sure Mason's 2 best albums came after Daisy left (Antichrist and Holywood) but Antichrist still had some of his sound remaining (and I think even some of his actual playing remained on tourniquet)...to me Daisy's departure spelled the end of the band and it just became about Manson after that

Here are some key details: Putesky sued Manson in 1998 alleging he was owed publishing royalties for co-writing songs on Manson's albums. Putesky claimed he was due royalties as a co-writer on many songs but hadn't been paid properly. The case alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment by Manson's label and publishers. In 1998, the parties settled the case out of court for an undisclosed sum and agreement on future royalties. Specific settlement terms were not made public, but Putesky was said to have regained some of his royalty rights. Putesky later said the settlement wasn't hugely lucrative but did get him his proper share of credits and royalties moving forward. He and Manson remained estranged after the lawsuit until Putesky's death from cancer in 2017 at age 49. So in summary, Putesky settled his royalty lawsuit against Manson in 1998 for an undisclosed amount and agreement on proper crediting and payments. It was a legal victory that got him the compensation he was seeking.

RIP Scott. He was a very gifted guitarist. If you watch this you can see all the small details that add to the song. Lots of unusual voicings and lines to add dissonance. Very creative. Do yourself a favor and listen to the original Criteria Mixes of Portrait, before Trent remixed it. The guitar is much more prominent and you can really appreciate Scott's unique style.

His sounds are unique but extremely easy to play additionally Daisy willingly left the band worst possible timing too right before they became a household name unfortunate timing and I bet he regretted it for the rest of his life but he did willingly walk out and quit and that's all there is to it we all make those choices some of them will damn us for the rest of our lives so make good choices
