Those wipeouts are exactly what my ski is doing now. Only addition was the PWC rear sponsons so I’m assuming they’re on in this video? I’m on an E85 tune and mid 60s mph. Got flung off on a left turn that I usually make it through just about pinned, bent the handle poles and all from my left hand not letting go quick enough. My next test is WCOT intake grate and ride plate alone. Have you tried that or figured out why it was doing this?
@ChixLife3 ай бұрын
The rear lifts more to get more speed if you have the PWR rear sponsons that fill in under the bond rail. I adjusted my riding position to fix the sliding issue, moved the pole all the way forward. I like them, but if you get lazy/tall/weight it wrong, it likes to slide. I'm 155lbs and 5'8". Think OVP helps, too.

Hey, Thanks for the advice on jetski choices a few weeks ago. Decided to go with a 2017 superjet. Stock apart from a quick steering setup,rideplate and straight bars. I really like the looks of the SXR 09 but Decided to go with a newer ski for reliability. Had a test ride on a 4stroke superjet but didn't really like it due to its size. I plan to ride in the surf so the smaller ski makes more sense. Its spring here in New Zealand, can't wait to get back on a stand up after my 20 year break. Keep up the great work on your channel.

I have the new Superjet and a question please. I just rode it for the first time ever. Mine seemed to have a bit of "play or slop" in the nozzle. It really doesn't go straight. Seemed to wander left or right and I had to counter steer regularly. Is this normal?
@ChixLife4 ай бұрын
@peaceprayer595 it depends on what your body is doing in the tray, your speed, etc. If you are transferring your wight side to side without paying attention, then yes, you will be chasing the steering. Balance plays a big role. Also if you are not used to water motorsports, the steering is more of a guess than precise since you are directing the flow of water for propulsion. Is the nozzle centered in the rear when the bars are straight? It is a simple cable, so "slop" shouldn't be an issue, but check your cable attachments at the nozzle and the handle pole.

Hi, I have been watching Your videos since I bought my Yamaha SJ 1050. Fun to watch - keep up the great work! 🙂 Since my riding improved I starded to struggle with riding on choppy water. I decided to get a try and will be buying: WCOT 2.0 ride plate WCOT intake grate Will I need the ProWatercraft sponsons too?
@ChixLife4 ай бұрын
Glad they're helping you out! Those are great mods that will help. Rear sponsons can be an acquired taste. Depending on your riding style, they can cause lift in the rear that can cause slides. Try the ride plate and intake grate first, and see how you like them!

Hello there I just got my new Yamaha 4 stroke super jet I finished my first 5 hours riding with half throttle so that I can break in the engine and honestly it wasn’t fun at all going slow:( Should I continue with the half throttle for the next 5 hours before the first service?
@ChixLife4 ай бұрын
@oaj99 is that what the manual says? To seat the rings you need pressure and varied throttle. KZbin up some Yamaha break in procedure videos, at 5 hours, definitely need some varied throttle. Go have some fun!
