I found the daytime footage very peaceful. The nighttime footage was more terrifying than any horror movie I've seen this year. I don't swim in natural bodies of water at all because terrifying. Night time in the ocean? No thank you maam.

Is the swarm of fish there bc there's food residue being tossed? They're not just swimming but they looked actively doing something with a purpose.. like eating.
@OdiFroilanКүн бұрын
they are there because as the current moves the ship, the chain of the anchor is mixing the sand and reveals organisms that fish feed on them

I love water and sea life but seeing huge man made objects in the ocean sometimes just gives me an eery unsettling vibe. It just creeps me out idk why, Maybe I watched too much Titanic. It just feels like its not supposed to be there; Like heres all this beautiful aquatic life in the ocean and then right next to it is this floating piece of metal, thats at the mercy of the ocean.

Lol, every fish staring like, "Who is that?" I love how we as humans fear oceans from land but it's actually very chill down there.

Call me crazy... but this makes me really miss SCUBA diving. It also highlights just how incredibly far technology has come since I last went (2010!) and my photographs and videos were high tech at the time, and pale in comparison to even a cheap gopro or copy today! I have amazing memories of diving and a pod of dolphins came to visit us. The young came to play, and the parents stayed a bit further away to ensure we weren't up to no good! We even saw some black tip reef sharks. So graceful and beautiful. It's like being on an alien planet... 🤿

How did you know what you were filming? Was it really on string? How did you get it to turn? Where was this? Caribbean? Were ship ok with you doing this or did you do it sneakily from cabin?
@OdiFroilan6 күн бұрын
it was filmed in the bahamas sea while on covid lockdown long anchorage era. It was on a string but with attached customized stabilizers in order to reduce turning by the stream. I dropped it a lot of times. I was controlling only the depth. So i knew approximately what i was filming by checking the previous footage and dropping again and adjusting my positioning accordingly

1:42 right as the GoPro starts raising up, and that fish emerges, it immediately came to my mind, that the fish was on its usual way to do something naughty with that big chain, but was suddenly surprised by the GoPro, so it performed the innocent whistle "i am just swimming by…" and quickly changed the course.. like a human would do in some comedy... 🤣😄 you can easily imagine those big eyes as if gets spooked, and the mouth movement as doing the whistling Thank you, my imagination! 👏👌🤣
