I noticed how when customers rip companies that do those types of professions most get angry and falsy accuse when they have to own up to the bill .Whether I hear about it in real life or tv it still has a pattern on the customers when they don't pay

Work for pay. Don't work for free. My policy is get paid as you go through the job and stop work if the customer stops paying.

I'm just a hobbyist and maintenance mechanic. I couldn't do most of those welds with both hands, both eyes and all of the skill and concentration I have. Very nice stuff.

The customers must think the contractors time, equipment and materials for the job are free. The sad thing is these people will have the money but are so up themselves they think wait enough time and contractor will give up.

I was a contractor for over 30 years. This only happened once. Police were called. I explained that I purchased all the materials I was "removing" and she refused to pay. They told her that I had the right. 😅

Saw a friend of mine hire a mexican driveway crew to install a brick driveway for $12K. When the job was done, the Mexican jefe had Chuck go into his house to get the money. I watched as Chuck handed over the cash, then the jefe peeled off half, put it in his pocket, then went outside and told his crew in Spanish that the pinche pendejo had only paid half and had called the Migra on them so they had to leave asap! Saw some ,mean looks from the Mexican crew towards Chuck who was unaware of him being blamed by the Mexican contractor/ jefe for shorting the crew . . .

Supposedly a famous Australian Footballer had a half court tennis court installed but wouldn’t pay for it. The contractor jackhammered the entire thing up and left. It cost double the price of the court to clean it up.

Ridiculous nonsense here. You go to small claims court. Make your case (if you've got one) and win a judgement. If they still don't pay, including the court costs with interest, then you put a lien on their house. They cannot sell, refinance or anything until you are paid and the lien is released. In the meantime, the judgement is on their credit report. It may take a while, but much more satisfying than tearing up your work plus the extra time you spent tearing it up. Don't be stupid!

Sadly, there are bad customers who give the majority of good customers a bad name. Progress payments should always be stipulated & applied in the construction industry.

That's why you put a lien on their property and fight it out in court! Doing the revenge move can result in you paying for damages. Why take the chance and screw yourself out of more money...?? I get the satisfaction part of it, it's gotta feel good but is it worth it..??
